*Amy's P.O.V*
"You know that I'm only doing this for you." I said to Eli as we entered Golf N Stuff and we were going to find the rest of the gang.
"And I appreciate that, babe." He kissed my cheek before we continued walking.
We saw Sam, Miguel, Robby, and Tory standing around as a group but it didn't seem like anyone was talking. Or at least, Sam and Tory weren't talking but the boys were, trying to start up a conversation. It doesn't seem to be working from afar.
"Hey, you guys made it." Miguel greeted us with a smile.
"Yes, we did." Eli smiled back.
"So what should we do first?" Robby asked.
The boys looked at us girls to see if we would give a suggestion but we said nothing. We would look at each other but we weren't saying anything. Maybe we were trying to see who would speak first.
Sam sighed. "You guys pick."
"We could play skee-ball." Miguel suggested.
"Sure." I said.
"I guess." Sam crossed her arms across her chest.
Tory only nodded, which meant that she's in agreement and then the six of us walked to where skee-ball was present.
"Should we let the ladies go first?" Robby asked.
"That is a great idea." Miguel said, beaming because he was liking what Robby was thinking.
You can feel the tension as us girls are just wanting this triple date or whatever it is to be over while the three guys are trying to get us on the same page where we would get along. It's just more complicated right now.
So the boys set up the game and us three girls stood in front of the three lanes.
"Okay, babe. You first." Eli said from behind me.
I grabbed one of the balls and with barely a flick of my wrist, I rolled the ball. I didn't really put any force behind it and it only went up halfway up the lane. I didn't score any points. I rolled the ball as if I was rolling it to a toddler. I bet you can picture how that went.
I turned back to Eli and shrugged. "I tried."
My boyfriend sighed, not sure what to say or do. Then when it was Sam's turn, she did the same thing that I did. She didn't put any force behind it. Tory matched our actions and I can tell that our boyfriends didn't want to give up. They wanted to keep trying to get us to get some common ground.
"Let's play a different game." Miguel suggested.
"Yeah, and I know just the one." Eli said, already starting to walk to the next game.
Following Eli to the next game, I can see that he has directed us to a game where you punch a small punching bag and it's able to tell the speed of it or how hard you can punch it. It's simple technology of how this machine works.
"And I'm guessing you're going first?" Miguel looked at Eli.
"Hell yeah." My boyfriend grinned.
Eli got in a fighting position before he used all of his might and then he would punch the bag really hard. It actually wasn't a bad number. He did a pretty good job. His score was about 700 points. When Miguel went, it was about the same score as Eli which is pretty impressive. They are strong hitters.
Robby then went and he got about 830 for his score. These boys don't mess around when it comes to punching.
"It's all in the legs." Robby said, happy with himself.
