Chapter 83: Twilight

*Amy P.O.V*

I sat in my bedroom, on my bed, reading through one of the Twilight books. I'm re-reading New Moon and I'm imagining scenes in my head as Bella is with Jacob. Where Bella seems so lost without Edward and she's reconnecting with her old friend. But then she's surprised to find out he's a werewolf. But the werewolves are so hot in the movies. If I wasn't fangirling over Jacob, I definitely would be for Paul or Sam. Actually, maybe I should scratch Sam, that's my cousin's name. But Sam in Twilight is attractive.

And as I continued reading, I heard my computer going off. Someone must be trying to video chat with me. Maybe it's Skylar, she's been going through boy problems lately. But when I checked the video chat call, it wasn't her.

It was my cousin, Sam. I smiled and immediately accepted her call.

"Hey, Sam!" I greeted her. "What's up?"

"Nothing much. I just got back from the movies."

Oh, yeah. You were telling me about that. How was the movie? Was it as beautiful as we imagined it to be?"

My cousin seemed so down. Something is bothering her. It made me worried.

"I didn't see how the rest of the movie went. I left early."

"Why? What happened?" I asked her.

"Do you remember that boy I was talking to you about?" She asked, "His name is Kyler."

"Yeah, I remember you telling me about him. What about him?"

"He did something bad, Amy."

As soon as she said those five words, I froze. My mood suddenly changed as I tried to think of the thing that went bad when she went to the movies.

"What did he do?" I asked my cousin, seriously.

"He tried to grab me.." her lips started to tremble right away. "He wanted to touch me down there and no matter how many times I told him to stop, he wouldn't. I couldn't stay at the movies any longer. I had to fight him off before I left because what he did was so wrong, disgusting and it was so terrifying as well. I can't believe he would do something like that."

Her words echoed in my mind as they would be on repeat. It made me feel so bad for my cousin and I wish I could be in California right now instead of New Jersey. I wanna hug her and tell her that I'll be there for her. But I have to go with the next best thing for now and tell her by video chat.

"I'm sorry that happened to you." I said, feeling my own eyes start to water.

"Kyler is so disgusting." She scoffed.

"He is.." I said, "But remember how amazing you are, Sam. You're going to find someone who will treat you right. Kyler doesn't deserve you. Your prince will come."

"You're the best cousin ever." She smiled.

"I could say the same to you."

"When are you coming back to visit us?"

"I'm hoping soon." I said, "I could use a break from my parents. Even though it's pretty obvious that they don't pay attention to me anyway. Not since what had happened to Alec."

"Your parents don't deserve you."

I laughed. "I know. They're hell."

"You should come and live with us." My cousin tried to tell me.
