Releasing the tension(JaeNo)

Sorry for the stupid title, I'm drawing a blank here!

"Dr. Jeong we need you in the ER tonight. We are backed up because of an apartment fire downtown, and there was a shooting." He nods as he's already walking toward the ER.
"I'll take the shooting, how many victims?" The nurse looks at her scribbled notes.
"Two. Male, 25. Bullet entered the left front shoulder and exited at the back of the shoulder. Non critical.
Second victim, Male, 30. Bullet entered chest, exited straight out the back. Possible critical." He nods.
"Charts?" She walks him to the curtained off section with the two victims and hands him their charts.
"Call the O.R. We will likely need surgery for both, get someone on standby for our critical first." She nods.
"I'll try sir, they are pretty busy too."

He just nods and opens the curtain. The section is separated by another curtain in the middle, for privacy. In the first bed, he sees a man handcuffed to the bed rail with a policeman by his side. He grabs gloves and walks closer to assess the damage.
"Can I ask what this is all about?" He asks the cop as his nurse slips in with a pair of scissors and starts cutting away his shirt.
"He ran from us and when we caught him he assaulted my partner before shooting him, so I fired a shot into his chest." Dr. Jeong nods with a frown.
"Your partner is my next victim then?" The officer scoffs.
"He should be first. This guy is a criminal." Dr. Jeong sighs.
"I understand your frustration but he is more critical, your partners wounds aren't life threatening." He says as he's poking around the hole in the man's chest. The nurse checks his vitals while he looks at his pupils.
"Bp is 85/59, pulse 40." The nurse informs.
"Ok call the O.R. Pupils are also dilated." He adds to her list.
"Do you know if this man is on drugs or alcohol?" The officer nods.
"We believe he has marijuana in his system." Dr. Jeong nods.
"Possible marijuana in system." He says to the nurse who nods and relays the information.

"Dr. They will be down in ten." He nods.
"Ok, stay with him and monitor bleeding, change the gauze packs as needed." He says as he takes his gloves off and tosses them in the trash. He hangs his chart on the end of the bed and grabs the other.

When he opens the curtain he sees the officer sitting on the edge of the gurney looking down while holding the gauze pack to his wound.
"Officer?" He says getting his attention. When he looks up they are both speechless for a moment.
"Holy shit, little Jeno Lee? Damn, you grew up." He receives an airy chuckle.
"Jaehyun, haven't seen your pretty face in years." Jaehyun raises a brow.
"Pretty huh? And I do believe it's  your fault we haven't seen each other." Jeno scoffs.
"It goes both ways you know?" Jaehyun raises his brows again.
"What's it been? Five years?" Jeno nods.
"Your 25th." Jaehyun chuckles as he peels the wound pack away.
"You used to come to all my birthday parties." He states as he grabs the scissors to cut away his uniform.
"That was the year I decided that I was sick of watching you with yet another boyfriend that wasn't me." Jaehyun stills.

"You liked me?" Jeno scoffs.
"Since I was fifteen." Jaehyun hums as he peels his shirt off.
"Oof, yeah. You've definitely grown up." He says as he stares at his chest and abs. Jeno laughs, effectively breaking his stare.
"Hey, I'm injured here. You can ogle me another time." Jaehyun chuckles as he tries once again to focus on his job.
"Right. Well you definitely need surgery. They will have to sew you up after they look for tissue damage but luckily it's not life threatening. You will have to lay back though and relax to keep the blood flow to a minimum. I can have the nurse help you into a gown." Jeno smirks.
"Or you could do it?" Jaehyun freezes as he's turning toward the curtain.
"But you need to lose the pants officer Lee. Would it be appropriate for me to help you with this?" His smirk only grows.
"You are a professional, are you not? The nurse is busy and the hospital is overwhelmed with patients at the moment." Jaehyun smiles.
"Ok, normally we cut your clothes away but if you can stand we can do this another way?" Jeno tries to stand but feels a little woozy.
"Yeah, you've lost a decent amount of blood. Lie down and I'll grab the scissors and a gown."
