This will be an NCT one shot book, I will not force updates it's only for when I get inspiration about certain ships and have to write it out.
I'm planning to include all members including WayV but it all depends on where my inspiration comes from...
"Nari baby we got a letter from the 4 news channel." Taeyong says excitedly. "What is it for papa? Are we famous?" Little Nari asks as she weaves through the isles of the dusty old book store. Taeyong giggles at her excitement and picks her up to spin her quickly around. "No baby, it says they are doing a holiday spotlight on small businesses for Christmas." He looks out the window in a daze. "They are coming in two days, I'm so glad you are on break at school so you can help me clean." She looks around the store and frowns. "Can't you have uncle Moon help you?" He chuckles at his four year olds cute face and nods. "Yes of course, I will call him right away."
Lucky for him he has a lot of friends and so does uncle Moon so they gathered quite a large crew. Some had even showed up that very afternoon. "Thank you Taeil, I just want it to look nice so people want to shop here you know?" Taeil nods and pats his back. "I'm glad to help and so is everyone else." He starts to walk away with a bucket of soapy water then stops to turn back to him. "How is everything for Christmas? Can you afford gifts?" Taeyong frowns. "We are fine Taeil, I'm not accepting charity. I'll make sure she gets at least one present from Santa." Taeil smiles sadly and walks away. He knows his dear friend won't accept help but he had to ask anyway. Everyone works hard over the next two days, well if you call playing tag with Nari hard then Jaemin is the hardest worker. Nari really enjoys this special time with her uncles and Taeyong couldn't be happier that they are there for him.
The morning of the filming Taeyong was so nervous, he dressed in his nicest suit and put Nari in her new pink princess Christmas dress.

She has been dancing around the store all morning. He won't tell anyone just how hard it was to get that dress, because his princess needs to look like royalty for the cameras. All of his friends that helped with the clean up were invited back to be on camera too, which most of them accepted. When the news crew gets there they set up pretty quickly and do some outside shots as well as inside before they talk to Taeyong. He brings little Nari up to sit nicely on the counter so she can participate and of course show off how pretty she is. They ask basic questions about store hours and what not, before asking one question that made the hair on Taeyong's neck stand up. "So Nari, you look so pretty here with your papa. What does your mom do while you and papa work at the store?" Taeyong pales and looks so uncomfortable while Nari just frowns. She shakes her head no and maturely answers the question. "I don't have a mom. I have papa and that's it, my daddy left us a long time ago." Taeyong chokes and goes to the other side of the counter to face her, forgetting the cameras were even there. "Baby, no. Don't ever think that. Daddy never left you, daddy left me, before I even knew you were in here growing." He points to his tummy and she nods with a soft smile. "Why did daddy leave you?" He shakes his head sadly and looks away. "Sometimes people fall in love but then they fall out of love too. It's complicated but just know your dad didn't do anything wrong." She hugs her papa softly. "I love you papa and I always will." He hugs her tighter and chokes back the need to sob. "Please cut that out, that's personal and doesn't need to be seen by everyone." The camera man shrugs. "Sorry man, this was a live feed." Taeil quickly runs up to hold Taeyong as he looks as if he will pass out. Nari smiles big at the camera and has Jeno help her off the counter so she can twirl. "These are all my uncles and they love me and papa and they helped us so you should film them too." She says cutely to the camera man that listens well to her and pans across all of them. Taeil has taken over giving the tour now, Taeyong isn't feeling well and is sitting in the back. After the chaos left the store Taeyong locked the door for the day so he could relax and prepare for hopefully a lot of people in the morning and recover the embarrassment of having his personal, disastrous love life broadcast on the news.
The next couple of days were just as he had hoped for, he had to call in reinforcements to run the cash register while he worked diligently with helping people find what they were looking for. By the end of the third day when he finally locks up the shop, he leaves in tears. There has been so much business that he can get caught up on bills for his business and home, he will even have enough money to get one gift from Santa to put under the tree. He feels so blessed and so happy. Nari has been staying at uncle Haechan's house when he's at the store. He's worried that he can't watch her well when it is so busy.
Across the city in Jaehyun's office it's been tense as usual. Jaehyun is a bear to work for, even his friends from school who work for him are miserable a lot of the time. When Mark walks in carrying his iPad Jaehyun rolls his eyes. "I've got enough on my plate Mark. Didn't you already send me all the files for today?" Mark nods sadly and Jaehyun takes notice and frowns. "I came across this viral video. It's about a small business owner across town. It was to highlight the place for Christmas shopping." Jaehyun gives him the 'why the fuck do I care?' Look. "Just watch." Mark puts his iPad in front of him and hits play. Jaehyun watches the whole thing in silence and as soon as it's over he stoically tells Mark that he can leave. As soon as the door clicks he's on his knees sobbing uncontrollably. Mark can hear him but he knows he wants to be alone. He spends the next few days absent from the company. He's entered a state of sadness he's not sure he'll come back from. Mark and Johnny decide to pay him a visit, knowing he certainly won't come back from this alone. When they enter his house, they find him in his bed in the dark with the video paused on a shot with Taeyong and his little baby girl next to each other. "I have a child. A sweet, beautiful, perfect child and she doesn't even know me." He says sadly. Johnny sighs and turns on the light. "So, get dressed and March down there and tell him you want your daughter, sue him if you have to." Jaehyun frowns. "Don't talk about my family. Get the fuck out Johnny." Mark looks softly at him and takes the iPad from Jaehyun. "How about we go and talk to him." He says as he sits next to him. Jaehyun quickly shakes his head no. "I'm sure he hates me, I left him when he was pregnant." Johnny jumps in again. "Ok but you didn't know he was pregnant." Jaehyun sighs and sits up. "I'll go talk to him." He says determined.
Of course, he chickens out day after day as he lurks in the thankfully busy store, until one day when he over hears Taeyong talking to her on the phone. He's disappointed she isn't here but at least he can hear her voice and she sounds so cute. "What do you want Santa to bring this year?" He asks her softly as to not bother the customers. "I want a daddy for me and a husband for you so you aren't sad anymore." Taeyong chuckles. "I'm happy enough just being with you baby girl." He clears his throat and smiles with crimson cheeks when he sees a customer waiting and hearing their conversation. "I have to go Nari, I love you baby. Be good for uncle Haechan." He smiles widely when she responds. "Ok bye papa, see you later. I love you." He turns quickly and apologizes for the wait. The man just smirks and sets down a few books. "I'll be your daddy." He says making Taeyong cringe. "That will be 27.99." He says as he bags the books. He hands over 30 and tells him to keep the change. His hand lingers on Taeyong's for too long. Before a man in a hoody and a mask comes out from behind him. "Excuse me, if you are done with him I could use some help." He says in a gravely voice. The man let's go and walks out laughing and Taeyong has no time to be shaken up as he follows the other stranger to a back isle of the store. "I want that one." He says pointing up. Taeyong nods and reaches up to grab it. His sleeve slips down showing just how thin he really is, making the stranger gasp. Taeyong pretends not to notice, figuring he's probably looking at his phone or something. "Why didn't you tell me I have a daughter?" Jaehyun finally speaks in his normal voice making Taeyong faint immediately.
