Stop Pretending

You glance at him as he walks down the hallway, hands in his pockets and his crew following him. You shut your locker, books in your hand as you wave to him.

"Hi Eddy." You say

He raises an eyebrow looking over to you.

"Do I know you?" He asks

"HI (F/N)!!" Ed exclaims happily

"Salutations (f/n)." Double D waves

You wave at the taller Eds. But turn back to Eddy. Who shrugs and turns around, walking away. Ed and Double D have to hurry up to catch up with him. Oh man was he getting on your nerves with this routine. Jesus ever since that one night he's totally ignored you. With a huff, you shuffle to class.

You sit down with Rolf who was conversing with Johnny and Plank.

"Ahhh, greetings (f

)!" Rolf smiles

"Hey (f/n)!" Johnny exclaims

"Hey guys." You wave

"Ah, still down and about from the Ed-boys eh? That reminds Rolf of a story Rolf's one-eyed nana once told Rlf in the old country!" Rolf begis"

Class is as boring as ever. Rolf is lost in a sea of stories while Johnny and plank listen excitedly. You listen to be polite, but really you've heard most of them before. You look up, seeing the Eds quietly conversing, most likely coming up with a another one of their schemes. Double D is wide-eyed staring at Eddy who sits bored, rolling a pencil against the desk as he speaks while Ed chomps down on an eraser. "What does that mean Eddy?" occasionally comes from him.

~Meanwhile~

"Eddy! I'm surprised at you!" Double D exclaims

"Shhhh! Quiet down Sockhead!" Eddy hisses

"How could you do that to them? Where could such behaviors like that come from? Did you even use the proper-"

"Relax, no one has found out about it. It should've been around the school by now if they were blabbing." Eddy sighs, looking over at you "But i'm sure they wouldn't do that. Just look at them."

Double D glances over at you while Ed full on eyes you, literally, his eyes are stretching out of his head and creeping over to you. Eddy smacks the taller one of the bunch and his eyes retract.

"Knock it off." He growls

~Back to the Main Line~

The sounds of a chair scratching against the floor earns you their attention. You shuffle over to Eddy with some questionable inspiration from Rolf's stories.

"Plank and I wish you luck (f/n)!" Johnny whisper yells not so subtly

"C-Can I sit?" You ask awkwardly

"Of course." Double D answers politely

"Sure, we were just leaving." Eddy says lowly

"We were?" Ed asks

"Stuff it Lumpy." Eddy rolls his eyes

"Eddy wait!" You say

He's out the door with Ed following close behind. Double D glances over to you sympathetically, placing a hand on your shoulder. You feel tears well up as Double D gets up and shuffles out the door upon Ed's request.

Rolf pats your back

"It was a good try! Rolf believes that you will get them next time, no?" Rolf excourages

But you lightly shove his hand away and turn to him, Johnny and Plank, Sarah and Jimmy, Kevin and Nazz who all looked at you either confused, disappointed, or just plan sad.

"I'm going to the nurse." You say

You leave before any one could protest. Not that they would. You just got shut down, and by Eddy.

You lie down on the bed, conversing with the nurse, saying you just feel sick and have a stomach ache. She offers to call your parents but you refuse, just saying you needed some rest. But soon the time limit she's allowed to keep you for expires and she has to send you back to class. You thank her and exit the room. When the door shuts, you're surrounded by three all too familiar faces.

"I hear what ya did with my boyfriend there." Lee Kanker points out

You gulp, anxiety swelling in your stomach as you look at the three.

"What gives you the right to go banging other peoples boyfriends?" Marie asks

"I-I don't know what you're talking about-"

"Oh stop it." Marie cuts in

"We know the whole thing. And we're here to teach ya a lesson." Lee smiles

"N-No please I-"

"Normally, we'd tell the entire school what you did, but that would ruin Eddy's reputation." Lee

"So we came up with something else" Marie

"Oh boy oh boy oh boy!" May exclaims
