CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO - EVIL PLAN

Lucas's POV

Kanina pa ako palakad lakad dito sa opisina ko, that little brat just pulled a stunt na hindi ko inaasahan at nahulog naman ako sa patibong at plano niya. I made a fool out of myself sa harap ng mga empleyado ko, she made me look weak in front of my employees just because of her seeing me around the studio. She's out of her mind, this is my building and i can go wherever i want to go at walang magbabawal sa akin. Ako dapat ang nagpapasunod sa kanya, siya dapat ang tuta na dapat maamo sa akin. Hindi yung ako ang pinagsasabihan niya ng kung ano ang dapat gawin. I am Lucas St-Pierre, i fear no one! Everyone fears me, everyone except that witch! She needs to pay for what she did, she needs to know who the real Lucas is.

"Excuse me sir but you need to see this." nagmamadaling pasok ni Anna sa opisina ko.

Ipinakita niya sa akin ang tablet niya at bumungad sa akin ang IG account ni Kana na may more than two million followers na. Nagtaka ako kung ano ang gustong ipakita ni Anna sa akin hanggang sa napako ang mga mata ko sa picture namin ni Kana during the contract signing. We were shaking hands and staring at each other at may caption yun na "Locked and Sealed." meron itong more than a million likes at libo-libong comments. Muli nagtaka ako kung bakit parang nag-aalala si Anna.

"What's wrong with this picture Anna?" i asked her.

"It's her followers sir, they are assuming that you two are engaged because of an arranged marriage. The caption adds to the peoples speculations, and you two are already on the news, magazines, tabloids etc." well that always happens to me, nothings new.

"You're working for me for a long time Anna and right now you should be used to it. This things happens to me all the time and we just don't give a damn about it." hindi parin nawala sa mukha niya ang tense at pagkataranta.

"But it'll heat up more after the launch of SPS for sure, knowing that you're a part of one of the shoots." she added and she has a point.

"Well, you're right. So if you're me right now, what would you do?" she's been so loyal to her job and to me, i can trust her my life.

"Well there's like two options for you sir, the one that you always do and the other one that's new and might help SPS grow." see?  I told you, she's smarter than anyone when you need her.

"Elaborate further Anna, i'm listening." umupo ako ng maayos sa swivel chair ko at inihanda ang tenga para sa kung ano mang suggestion niya.

"Okay, the first option is don't give a damn about it, ignore it and avoid the press, that's what you always do in times like this and that's a good thing, it's safe for you and for the business but do you want to keep hiding?" biglang tanong niya.

"It depends on the issue." tipid kong sagot.

"Yeah you're right, case to case basis and that leads me to option two. Why don't you make the people's speculations true?" nagsalubong ang kilay ko sa sinabi niya.

"You want me to ask that witch to marry me?"

"No, that's totally not what i mean. What i mean is why don't you guys pretend that their speculations are true, that you two are engaged to be married. That'll help SPS gain more attention and love sir." nagsalubong na naman ang kilay ko.

"Love? paano nasali ang love dito?"

"When there is love on something you're selling to people, they will appreciate and love it back." Well, i don't love thar witch, and i don't know what that love is.

"We don't have love." she rolled her eyes after she heard what i said.

"That's why you guys needs to pretend, duh!" Louisa and Anna can only talk to me like this, they are damn lucky and oh add the witch on the list but consider her so unlucky.

"I can do that, i can pretend but not with that witch. She's a handful, our conversation will always end up of her accusing me of a crime that i never did." she rolled her eyes again.

"We need to do something that'll make her agree with this plan, you need to do something." this time, i did the rolling of eyeballs.

"It's your idea, so you think of something." biglang lumiwanag ang mukha niya at saka dali-daling lumabas ng opisina ko, women.

Inabala ko ang sarili ko sa makapal na mga papel na dapat pirmahan sa lamesa ko. Nangangalahati na ako nang biglang bumukas ng pagkalakas-lakas ang pinto ng opisina ko.

"Nasa balita tayo!" sigaw ng hingal na hingal na witch sa harap ko.

"And?" sagot ko habang ipinagpapatuloy ang pag pirma ng mga papeles.

"Akala nila ikakasal tayo, tapos sabi ni Anna masisira daw ang pangalan mo at ng companya kapag-" napatingin ako sa kanya nang hindi niya natapos ang sinabi niya.

"Kapag?" this is exciting.

"Kapag hindi natin sinunod ang nasa balita." She's stupid.

Anna thought of this lame reason? At naniwala naman tong witch na to?

"Alam ba to ng manager mo?"

"Hindi mo man pang ba ako pauupuin?" kailangan ko pa ba siyanh sabihan na umupo?

"Sit down." utos ko, umupo naman siya.

"Nasa ibaba pa siya, busy sa pictures peru ipapa-alam ko sa kanya mamaya."

"So, my name's at stake here Kana. Ayoko sanang isali ka sa magulo kong buhay peru nandito kana, nakadikit kana. Peru hindi kita pipilitin, mabahiran man ng dumi ang malinis kong pangalan okay lang, lilinisin ko nalang ulit." i'm always good at this, i always dreams to be an actor when i was a kid.

"Tutulongan kita, hindi natin babahiran ng dumi ang pangalan mo, kahit kasing sama ka pa ni Satanas." saad ko.

"Kailangan natin ng kontrata para dito." tumango naman siya at agad kong tinawagan si Anna.

Minuto lang ay dumating si Anna dala ang kontrata, agad ko siyang pinapirma bago pa dumating ang manager niya. Agad din siyang umalis nang sabihan ko siyang bukas na namin pag-uusapan ng ibang detalyi.
Habang tinitingnan ang contrata ay napangiti ako.

"It takes two to tango Kana."
