CHAPTER EIGHT - AMERI-KANA

Lucas's POV

Nasa kalagitnaan ako ng meeting kasama ang marketing team, wala sana ako ngayun dito kung hindi lang nag-inarte ang isa sa mga modelo ng bagong product ng isa sa mga negosyo ko. Kung kailan handa na amg lahat para sa photoshoot saka pa siya nag cancel. Kung inaakala niyang ganun lang kadali ang basta-bastang pagtalikod sa contrata ko, mali siya! Hindi ako kagaya ng iba na basta nalang papalampasin ang lahat at hahanap nalang ng iba. Pumirma siya ng kontrata at pagbabayarin ko siya.

"Anna, you know what to do with that stupid b*tch, make her pay." Mahinahon kong saad.

"Right away sir." agad niyang kinuha ang phone niya at may tinawagan, abogado malamang.

"Now, can anybody tell me who will replace that b*tch ngayung nag back siya?" Halos walang nagsalita at halos sabay pa silang lumunok, sana lang hindi nila nalunok pati dila nila.

"As of now sir, we are still looking for a replacement." sa wakas at nagsalita ang marketing head.

"We don't have time Ms. Aranda, this product should be launch next week at ngayun wala pa tayong model, you know i hate delays!" Hindi na ako nakapagtimpi.

"We are, ahm we have,  ahm we found someone sir but we haven't talked to her or her manager yet." Nanginginig niyang saad.

"Who is she?" Kinuha niya ang laptop niya at may ipinakita sa aking picture ng isang babae. "Huhulaan ko pa ba pangalan niya Ms. Aranda?"

"No sir, peru we just found her picture on instagram. Her account name is Ameri-Kana and as of today she have half a million followers."

"And?" wala akong pakialam kung ilang million pa ang followers niya, what i need is a model for my product.

"We haven't reached out to her yet." mas lalong kumulo ang dugo ko sa narinig.

"So what are you telling me? You haven't reached out to her yet so you mean you want me to reach out to her? Is that my job Ms. Aranda?" Halos maubos ang kulay sa mukha niya pati lahat ng team niya.

"Definitely not sir, she doesn't have any email address or cellphone number there but we will try to DM her." DM? What the hell is that?

Tinawag ko si Anna at agad naman itong lumapit sa akin. Pinalapit ko siya ng mabuti sa akin at binulongan.

"What the hell is DM?" namula siya sa tanong ko at parang ano mang oras at bubunghalit ng tawa.

"It's Direct Message sir." Sinamaan ko siya ng tingin at pinaalis.

"Okay, do whatever you can to have her. Ayoko ng kung sinong modelong kung makapag demand akala nila sila lang ang modelo sa mundo. Ayoko ng modelo na maarte, ayoko ng modelong scandalosa. I don't care kung paano niyo siya kukunin basta we need a model as soon as possible. You may all leave." i hate situations like this, i hate delays, i hate everything that is not perfect.

"Sir, your next meeting will be in two hours." Tumango lang ako at lumabas ng conference room, nakabuntot naman sakin si Anna.

"Anna, can you send me the picture of that Ameri-Kana?" paglingon ko sa kanya nakita ko na iba ang iniisip niya base sa reaction niya. Napapangiti na hindi ko alam. "It's not what you think, i just want to have it so i could send it to Louisa and ask her if by any chance she knows that girl." why am i explaining to her?

"You don't need to explain sir, you'll have it right away." and she walked ahead of me with a smirk in her face.

Pagpasok ko sa opisina ay nandoon na sa laptop ko ang picture. I've been to a lot of fashion shows because of Louisa, i have slept with a lot of models, i have hired a lot of models for my products peru parang hindi ko pa talaga nakikita tong babaeng to before.

She's blonde with green eyes, pale skin, tall with perfect curves peru kung magkakalaman siya ng kunti mas gaganda pa ang hugis ng katawan niya. Siguro international model, dahil hindi siya mukhang pinay. Everything in the picture looks rugged, her clothes, her shoes, her background but not her face and her eyes. She will be perfect for my product, they better find her or i will fire them all.

Bago pa kung ano ang maisip ko ay tinawagan ko si Louisa to come over, since nasa mall siya sa malapit. It's a miracle nga na ilang weeks na siya dito sa Pilipinas, eh noon days lang at umaalis agad. Wala pang thirty minutes ay bumukas na ang pinto ng opisina ko.

"Supp brother?" Tiningnan ko siya mula ulo hanggang paa, what happened to my sister?

"Who did that to you?" nagsalubong ang kilay ko sa porma niya.

"What? It's the new trend brother, hindi dahil fashion model/icon ako eh hindi na ako pwedeng sumunod sa uso." nakasuot siya ng maluwang na high waisted na pantalon na tattered at naka white crop top at rugged boots. Napatingin ako sa picture sa laptop ko at sa kapatid ko, halos magkapareha sila ng porma, bago nga lang ang mga suot ng kapatid ko.

"With your outfit today, i'm sure you know this girl." Iniharap ko sa kanya ang laptop at nanglaki ang mata niya.

"You're following Ameri-Kana too?" excited niyang tanong.

"Nope! My team needs her for my new product and we can't contact her." paliwanag ko sa kanya habang nakatitig parin siya sa picture.

"I don't know her really,  but i followed her on IG and she is gorgeous brother, look at her she's totally rocking the rugged look. I know i'm a model but damn! With her looks she must be a big time model." Big time model?

"She can't be big time if you haven't met her in person, i mean you're a big time model Louisa and you met a lot of big time models around the world yet you haven't met her, that means she's not big time." she glared at me because of what i said.

"Alam mo ba na two weeks palang ang IG account niya yet she already have half a million followers, can you believe that? I got my half a million followers for a month brother!" so she doesn't know this Ameri-Kana, but she's like a big time fan of it.

"Have you tried like, sending direct message to her?" Mas lalo siya na interesado sa tanong ko.

"Yes i did once, i told her i'm a fan of her." she said smiling like a kid who saw a candy.

"Did she messaged you back?" Fingers crossed.

"Yes, she sent me a smiling emojie and it's the coolest reply ever." i can't believe what i just heard.

"Seriously? a smile emojie and you think thats cool? that's totally not cool Louisa, she could've sent you a thank you or something." she glared at me again.

"Maybe she's busy but hey! It's the effort that counts. But she looks familiar tho, it's like i've seen her somewhere i cant remember." bumuntong hininga nalang ako.

Asking my sister about it is useless, and now she can't stop talking about this Ameri-Kana and i need to listen to her or else she'll go mad.

This Ameri-Kana is giving me a hard time.
