Ariella's pov

"You didnt have to stay with me." I looked at Oscar.

We have been sitting behind bars in the police station for a while.

"I wasn't going to leave you." He said as he leaned back into the wall.

I let out a sigh.

"My precious car. Im never getting it back." I pouted.

"Thats what you're worried about?" Oscar laughed. "You could get locked up."

"Okay?..." i said more as a question.

He shook his head. "Thats the last thing you need."

"Im sure someone will bail us out." i reassured him.

"Is that someone Daryl?" he looked down at the dirty floor.

"Who's Daryl?" I raised a brow as he finally looked at me.

"That guy you're seeing."

I let out a laugh. "His name is Derek." i corrected.

"Oh whatever. I was close." He said as i just smiled to myself.

"Why do you always say the wrong name?" i playfully elbowed him.

"Im bad at remembering things. Especially if i dont care for them."

"I care for him." i mentioned which really poked the bear.

He just chuckled to himself. "Like a friend."

"Whats that supposed to mean?"

"Exactly what it means. You only like him as a friend. You just wont admit it to yourself."

"Oh and you know everything?" I said with a hint of passive aggressiveness.

"I know you, Ariella." He stated while locking eyes with me. "I can read you like a book."

"How come you never read me when we were together then?" I sounded bitter. Thats because I was bitter.

"We're really going there?" He questioned.

"I mean what else are we going to do? Not many activities can be done behind bars." I crossed my arms and stared at him as a smirk grew on his face.
