I'm still waiting for Jennifer Walters to see if she can find any documents proving my citizenship in the United States. I understand why it's taking so long she's backed up with cases. Besides, my documents will be hard to find even though I've given her every scrap of information about myself that I have. My birth parents probably got rid of any digital evidence of my existence after they kicked me out.

I'm still not back to normal from my leg injuries. It hurts to walk. It's getting better each day but when I train it definitely hinders my fighting abilities. I'm in the middle of another training session when I hear Loki coming. I move to do a fighting maneuver but fall he catches me, puts me back on my feet, then looks at me worriedly.

"I'm needed for a mission off world I can take you over to Thor's I'll be back as soon as I can."

I don't like the thought of him going to face danger out in space God knows where without me. I know he's capable of handling himself but I still want to protect him. I'm not about to just let him leave. He must see an argument written on my face.

"Strange told me this threat is to great to face without me, or more accurately my knowledge of Asgardian magic. I'm sorry I must go."

"Then let me come with you!"

"No I need you to stay here and heal from the last battle."

Damn it, he has a point but I'm not giving up so easily.

"Loki-"

He cuts me off giving me a pleading look.

"Please, for me?"

Damn it that face.

"Fine..."

He hugs me as I go on.

"But you better survive or... or I'm gonna kill you."

He pulls back and looks at me.

"Understood."

I'm sitting at Thor's house flipping through cable when I come across a news channel. I almost flip right through but I stop dead in my tracks when I recognize the building on the screen. It's Xavier's school. There's an army of M.R.D agents surrounding it and there seems to be a stand off.

I stand up quickly, ignoring the screaming pain in my legs I begin to get ready putting on my shoes and jacket. I know that Loki wants me safe here but this is an emergency my family is in danger and I need to help them.

"What are you doing?"

Thor has come into the room and is looking at me inquisitively I tilt my head towards the TV screen and continue getting ready. He looks at the TV then looks at me in concern knowing from previous conversations with me that that Xavier's school is where the X-men are.

"I need you to take me there, to Westchester."

"I can't."

"I need you to."

"Loki trusted me to keep you safe."

I turn to face him. He's never seen me mad. There are tears rolling down my face.

"That is my family and they are being attacked! You know he would not keep me from helping them!"

Thor looks torn I understand his hesitation to help me but I need to get over there as soon as possible.

"Please Thor! I can't just sit here while they're being attacked."

Thor sighs.

"Loki is going to kill me."

I look at him gratefully then reassure him.

"I won't let him."

He reluctantly grabs Stormbreaker then steps outside. I follow him.

"I can't stay and help you fight, I'm a king and I would be interfering with another country's law enforcement. I'm sorry."

I nod.

"That's alright you have a country to protect and I have a family to protect just please get me there."

He nods looking unhappy about the current situation. He calls the bifrost it comes and takes us to Westchester. I step away from Thor towards the sound of battle. He grabs my shoulder.

"Are you sure?"

He looks ready to take me back right now.

"Yes, if anything happens don't feel responsible this was my decision to come here."

He reluctantly takes his hand off my shoulder and I begin walking in the direction of the school.

'Loki's going to kill me.' This is the only thought I have as I return home. I'm pacing around the house watching the live footage of the battle happening in Westchester. Sam hasn't gotten there yet. I should go back and make her come back with me right now.

She would never forgive me if I did this though, but will Loki ever forgive me if anything happens to her? I continue to pace when my eye lands on Mjölnir hung on its hook. I take it and take the bifrost back to Westchester. I set the hammer down.

"Norns please let her be worthy."

If she's worthy she will easily win the battle with Mjölnir. It will go to her if it senses her in peril. I take one last look at my beloved weapon then take the bifrost back home.
