I stand trying to hide my excitement. It's incredibly stupid but I'm happy to finally be included. We all depart to clean up from the battle we're to meet back together at a restaurant called The Shawarma Palace in an hour. Sam and I go to my New York home and each shower and clean up. We change from our armor into street clothes then head out. I am receiving glares from strangers as we walk outside to hail a cab but they don't matter to me at the moment.

When we arrive the restaurant is almost completely empty other than the fact that some Avengers are already there, either having made quick work of changing or having opted to stay in uniform for lunch. Scott Lang, who has a plate full of orange slices in front of him is talking to Peter. He sees us enter and waves us over to sit with them. This is good, I had worried about finding a place to sit.

Hope who is sitting beside him looks up curiously to see who he's waving at. She looks unsure about me but seems to decide not to say anything when she sees Sam is with me. We take a seat. Scott is cheery as usual.

"Hey guys! Hope you really should have been there when I saw them at the Halloween party their costumes were amazing!"

Hope nods still wary. She decides to speak to Sam perhaps feeling Sam is more approachable.

"So you're Sam?"

Sam nods. Hope lifts her eyebrows questioningly.

"And you two are...?"

Sam giggles making me smile slightly despite my sudden anxiety over Hope's understandable wariness of me.

"Yes."

Hope regards me curiously. I can tell she's trying to figure out how to feel about me being here. Scott looks at Hope.

"Hope I already told you this, Loki's got a girlfriend now. Did you think I was joking?"

"Kind of... I don't know. I guess I just didn't believe it."

Peter looks at me and looks like he's about to make a quip at my expense. I'm slightly annoyed.

"Not a word Parker!"

Peter laughs Sam does too.

"Don't encourage him!"

Peter folds his arms unfazed. He knows despite my intimidating tone I could never harm him.

"What's wrong? I thought you liked mischief Mr. Loki."

'Oh I do.' Peter's going to get a taste of it now that's what he gets for being so vexing. My anxiety is shoved aside at the thought of causing mischief though I'm still a bit melancholy from yesterday. Despite this lingering sadness I'm going to have a bit of fun, when our food comes he will be quite surprised to find a spider hiding in his food courtesy of an illusion spell.
