As Loki explains his plan I quickly realize I'm included in the people who don't like it. Loki wants to convince Amora that he wants to join forces with her. Phase one of his plan is he wants us to launch an attack on her forces not for the purpose of winning but for the purpose of making her aware of the Avengers.

Phase two of the plan is where I'm no longer sure if I want to be on board. Phase two involves two or more Avengers being taken as seemingly powerless 'prisoners' by Loki to Amora. In reality they would be capable of breaking free at any point. His gift of her captured enemies will gain her trust that and my least favorite part of the plan Loki's charm. I know this likely means their old relationship will come into play with the plan.

Phase three of the plan is Loki will feed S.H.I.E.L.D and the Avengers that aren't 'captured' intel about Amora's plans. Phase four is when the time is right and it's known what needs to be done to take Amora down Loki and the 'captured' Avengers will turn on Amora.

The Avengers are currently debating the plan Loki just proposed. As much as I hate it it's a good plan and will likely result in a quick battle with few casualties. Tony looks annoyed at the complexity of the plan.

"Why can't we just go in and take her out?"

Loki answers his question with patience taking Tony's question seriously. So this is Loki when he's in charge of something.

"I understand it's not straightforward but she's a very powerful sorceress and from the sounds of it at full power, if we try and take her on with brute force she'd beat us we have to be strategic."

People continue to argue. The room is divided I'm eventually asked my opinion by Strange the desire to know what it is, is reciprocated by several other Avengers they're looking to me for my approval and I realize I have to take Loki's side on this otherwise the plan will be completely thrown out. The logic being if I don't trust his plan why should anyone else. I'm going to have a word with him about this plan later but for now I have to have his back.

"This plan is solid, I trust this plan to work."

I can't bring myself to say it's a good plan though it is or that I approve of the plan. I don't approve. 'What if she seduces him?' I've been trying but I'm not exactly the most sexually active partner to have because of my fears. From just her photo alone I can tell Amora clearly is. Other Avengers are quickly swayed by my opinion and the tide turns in Loki's favor.

He looks at me thankfully, giving me that charming smile it fades as he takes in my expression. He can sense I'm upset about something damn right I am. 'What if he decides I'm not good enough after getting a taste of what someone who's not broken could do for him?' Loki allows Steve to dictate phase one of the plan. While Steve explains what he wants us to do Loki continues looking at me in concern. He whispers to me.

"What's wrong mortal?"

I don't answer. I can feel myself getting angry 'What's wrong is your ex-girlfriend shows up and the first thing you want to do is charm her, asshole!' As the meeting wraps up and everyone is going to get their things for the mission I can feel angry tears threatening to spill from my eyes. I make a dash to the hallway I can't let anyone see them as that would put Loki's plan at risk.

I sit down in the hall and let them fall. Though I'd hoped Loki wouldn't give chase he approaches me shortly after. He sits down with me looking confused and concerned. 'How can he be confused?!' 'He's running off with his ex of course I'm upset!'

"Sam what's wrong mortal?"

'Do I have to spell it out for you?!'

"I don't like your plan! I don't want you running off with your ex!"

Loki looks incredibly confused and a bit hurt.

"Why did you pretend to be in support of my plan then? If you don't trust me?"

"Nobody would have gone with it otherwise! It-it's not that I don't trust you... I just know you've been craving something from me that I haven't been able to give you and... well Amora looks like the type that would be more than willing. I'm sorry I can't- I can't do that for you yet."

Loki lifts my face so I'm looking at him.

"Sam I'm sorry if I've ever pressured you for anything."

"No it's not like that, you haven't not once! I just know how badly you want to and I... I just can't."

"Sam it's alright. You're worth waiting for."

He pulls me close. This makes me cry harder. 'Damn it why was he so sweet?' My fear about him and Amora comes back.

"But what about Amora?"

"That quim used me to get to Thor. She never cared for me. She used me to get access into the palace because she was obsessed over my brother. She has little interest in me and I can't say she's very appealing when I have someone better already at my side."

I giggle at the complement through my tears realizing how stupid I was being. He brushes hair out of my face then a tear from my cheek.

"I love you mortal."

I smile slightly and sniffle before responding.

"I'm sorry I was being stupid I love you too."

He lifts me up off the floor into a standing position and kisses me then flashes a kind smile in understanding. If anyone can understand getting over emotional it's probably Loki.

"Don't fret over it."

I go to wash my face in the restroom then walk back into the room to rejoin the other Avengers with Loki.
