It's the next day I'm relieved by the results of yesterday Sif left Loki's room looking happy and the Mutant Registration Act didn't get any real traction. I'm a bit sad though, I'm beginning to believe we may have to celebrate Loki's birthday in the hospital. It would be shitty if we have to celebrate it here.

I'm just getting back to the hospital, I ran home to shower and change. I'm wearing a heavy black winter coat though it's zipped down to show my blue shirt with the Stark Industries logo on it, I'm also wearing blue jeans, and blue converse style shoes with Captain America themed socks. As I enter the waiting area I'm approached by a doctor. I suddenly get nervous.

"Hello, you are Lady Samantha?"

I nod. My voice as usual when I'm anxious has abandoned me. I wish Thor or Peter were here. I hate that I'm completely alone with this doctor though I know he's truly only here to help.

"We took Prince Loki's temperature not long ago, we found that his body has resumed maintenance of homeostasis on its own. We've decided that he can go home and continue recovery there."

I nod again letting myself smile despite my discomfort with the doctor.

"I recommend that if you have a spare room that you block the ventilation system supplying heat and open the windows to get it cold. Going outdoors would work well for this too. He doesn't have to stay in there at all times but I would recommend for him to rest there for at least thirty minuets every three hours until the end of next week."

I nod that's doable as long as Loki doesn't get stubborn. He may need some help getting home, I'll let Thor know.

"As of now he's free to go. Do you need any help getting him home?"

Hel no Loki wouldn't want strangers to help him walk out to the car and into our home, I doubt he'll even be thrilled about Thor helping but it's better than strangers at least. I shake my head and pull out my phone I show him the screen with my text conversation with Thor. Showing the doctor I intend to contact him for help instead.

"Ah, an electronic message, very good then, farewell Lady Samantha."

I smile waving slightly as he walks away. I shoot Thor a text then head into Loki's room. Through the glass in the window I see that Loki is sitting up in bed his nose in a book I had grabbed from the house for him yesterday. His head turns towards me the second I turn the knob. He really is doing a lot better today.

"Hey trouble, they just told me you're getting out early for good behavior."

He smiles.

"That doesn't sound right are you sure you're not getting me confused with someone else?"

I laugh at his quick witted reply, Yup no doubt he's feeling better. I sit on the bed next to him.

"Thor will be here in a bit, I know you probably don't need it but it would make me feel better if you let him help you walk out to the car."

I actually think he needs help walking out of here but that doesn't mean he needs to think I do. This approach will make this easier if he thinks he's just humoring me instead of showing weakness. He nods smiling at me though he still seems a little unhappy about it.

"I will if that will ease your worry mortal."

I give him a kiss on the cheek.

"Thanks Lo'."

Loki observes my outfit.

"Hmmm very blue."

I giggle at his critique.

"Yeah I have an affinity for the color... I wouldn't mind seeing more of it."

What I'm saying clearly gets across he looks a little bit nervous by my expression of interest in his Jotun form. I go on.

"Although things are also beautiful the way they are so either way I win."

I don't want to pressure him into anything he's uncomfortable with I just want him to know I'm not put off by that form at all. He smiles looking a little relieved. Thor comes into the room then and we get ready to go.

When we arrive home Loki is situated on the couch. Vili quickly makes her way onto him. He strokes her scales and jokes.

"At least someone missed me."

I laugh.

"Yeah I barely noticed you were gone."

He smiles at my sarcasm matching it with a sarcastic comment of his own.

"Who are you again?"

I roll my eyes and walk away giggling, I go to do all the things the doctor recommended in one of our guest rooms while he talks with Thor. When I get back Thor says goodbye and leaves. We're finally back home alone together.

"So you're a free man what you wanna do?"

He looks to me in slight embarrassment as he answers.

"Finish Lilo and Stitch..."

I giggle.

"Me too."

He changes into something more comfortable and we watch the end of that movie. After it's over Loki moves over to his favorite reading corner and begins reading his book again. I go to work on lunch when I come back about an hour later I find him asleep looking happy as he rests. His book is left open on his lap along side it is Vili curled up in a ball. I smile looking at the clock he's got another hour before he's gotta chill. I kiss his cheek and turn the light off leaving him to rest.
