It's Friday night and Loki is reading a book. I plop myself down on the couch where he is sitting on the floor nose deep in a book of Shakespearian plays that Hank had recommended to him.

"Ok enough with that book! We're having a traditional Midgardian Friday evening! We are ordering pizza drinking soda and watching too much TV!"

"Hm... One more chapter."

He continues reading engrossed in the book.

"You are such a nerd!"

"And I believe the proper Midgardian term for you is 'couch potato'."

I giggle.

"Come on Loki pleeease!"

He reluctantly shuts the book then smiles at my ridiculousness.

"As you wish."

"Aww thanks Westley."

He gives me a confused look.

"Who's Westley?"

"Oh you know the man in black."

He tilts his head in confusion still not getting it.

"From the cult classic The Princess Bride?"

Still nothing. 'Peter were you even doing your job when you were culturing this man?!'

"Bish hold up! You've never seen The Princess Bride?!"

He shakes his head not sure what the fuss is about.

"That is absolutely, totally, and in all other ways inconceivable! We're watching it right now!"

I pull the movie up on the TV. He smiles as he sits down on the couch and crosses his arms shaking his head at my eagerness.

"I will never understand you mortals obsession with moving pictures they can't provide you with anything a good book can't."

I smile and shake my head I know he enjoys movies just as much as I do he's just too proud to admit it.

"Whatever you say gramps."

We order a pizza then start watching he laughs his ass off. When the movie is over I lay down with my head in his lap my legs take up the rest of the couch. He looks down at me in my silliness and laughs.

"So whatdidya think?"

"You were correct this picture should have been brought to my attention sooner."

"Duh! I'm always right!"

He rolls his eyes. I find his irritation incredibly adorable.

"You're cute when you're annoyed."

"Is that why you annoy me so?"

"Ma-ybe"

He rolls his eyes again. I sit up so I'm at eye level with him. Then kiss him. We banter and tease each other a bit more it's times like this that I love. This has truly been the perfect Friday evening.
