Just Not Used To Positive Feedback

—-Loki—-

As we exit the building I find myself receiving praise from the other Avengers and even some S.H.I.E.L.D agents, something that is foreign to me. Even Strange positively acknowledges my plan's successes. I pass Scott who looks at me excitedly.

"Dude your plan was awesome!"

He has his hand lifted in an odd way. I recognize this as a 'high five' no ones ever attempted to perform that ritual with me other than Peter but I had quote 'left him hanging'. Sam laughs at me as I've been looking at Scott in confusion for a moment too long.

"Please tell me you know what a high five is."

I'm quite embarrassed at this point I know I've made things awkward now. I complete the ritual but it feels off I've definitely gone about it wrong somehow. Scott doesn't seem to mind.

"I bet you two are spent so I'll assume I'm probably not going to see you at shawarma."

Sam nods and Ingfred looks in confusion from me to Scott to Sam he then stands awkwardly obviously not knowing anything about which we speak. Sam had explained to me what Ingfred had done for her and I hope we will be able to keep the young man out of serious trouble. I chuckle a little to myself as I observe him I understand the feeling I often feel completely lost by what Sam and the others go on about. What is the saying? 'Mood.'

"Yeah we're going to talk to Fury about Ingfred here then I don't know about Lo' but I'm gonna go home and crash."

Sleep sounds wonderful as my nights have been preoccupied with other activities for the past few days. When we weren't being intimate I had been too preoccupied with my guilty conscience to sleep as well as afraid of what Amora might decide to do when I wasn't conscious. Whether that be doing things without my 'consent' or making a decision about the fate of the others while I slept.

"I will be joining you for that mortal."

Scott nods and smiles.

"I'm glad I caught you guys before you took off then."

I smile back at his sincerity.

"As am I, farewell Scott."

We continue making our way away from the building past a wall of police officers keeping onlookers away from the scene. We're suddenly surrounded by reporters Sam steps closer to me and Ingfred also seems intimidated by the borage.

The press had previously been pacified by S.H.I.E.L.D officials explaining the situation to them but now at the sight of our presence they all throw questions at me some positive some accusatory. Microphones are shoved into our faces as the questions pour out of the reporters lips.

"Loki is it true you used to be in a relationship with Amora?"

"Loki who are you with?"

"Do you really expect people to believe you weren't really joining forces with Amora?"

"Who are you wearing?"

One question stands out among the rest.

"You've proven yourself trustworthy what's next for you?"

I turn to the reporter in question.

"I continue wiping away the red."

In keeping with my new trustworthy reputation I answered the question with the most sincere answer I could think of. I continue walking to where I know one of Tony's cars will be waiting to take us to S.H.I.E.L.D headquarters to speak with Fury about Ingfred.
