I Want That

Steve has everyone get rid of any metal they have on them luckily there happen to be some non metal weapons for Clint and Natasha to use unfortunately there's no alternative for Sam W than to go in without his wings. Bucky coming along without an arm isn't exactly practical so he's dismissed.

Tony goes home along with Pepper and Rhodey. Many of the Avengers are off of the mission because of the problems the metal they use would pose it hits me how underprepared they would be in the event of an attack from Magneto. Fury will probably swiftly fix that now.

Vision and Wanda have a small argument about what they should do Vision doesn't want her to go. She eventually convinces him that he's being illogical this is ironic seeing as he's an artificial intelligence but I guess even computer programs are irrational when it comes to love. She hands him her engagement ring because it's got a metal band on it. She kisses him.

"Keep this safe until I get back"

He nods and leaves still looking worried. They're adorable. Something about the engagement ring holds my attention... 'I... I want that.' I come suddenly to a realization that I want to move forward with Loki that I want us to be more than just boyfriend and girlfriend. 'Would that be moving too fast for Loki though?' I hope I haven't been allowing all these emotions to be written on my face thinking of all this.

The only members that remain are Bruce, Clint, Nat, Sam W, Wanda, Steve, Peter (he will need to run home to grab his first version of his suit and will need to loose the web shooters), Loki, Thor, and myself. Stephen didn't show up today this happens fairly regularly he's probably busy, he protects Earth from threats we can't even tell are there. Fury looks over the now diminished team he looks unhappy with it. Steve speaks with him.

"Any chance you could get a hold of Murdock, Cage, Grant slash Spector, or Jones?"

"I can try but they've made it clear they want nothing to do with the Avengers and I also wouldn't want to risk Lockley showing up and going rogue mid mission the system has been having trouble with him lately according to Grant last we talked."

Steve nods.

"I understand that but for the rest of them please get them on site if they're willing to come this guy's a heavy hitter and we need any help we can get. We should be going though."

Fury nods and we head out. Loki and Thor look dressed down due to their lack of armor and seeing Steve just leave his shield on the table doesn't feel right. I can't say leaving Mjölnir behind feels any better. I take Loki's hand as we head out he looks at me for a moment with a soft smile. His gaze is filled with adoration and I have hope that he's been feeling the same way about where our relationship is heading.
