A Tale of Mischief and Mutants

Home in New Asgard

It had been an amazing turn of events finding Jean and Xavier alive it was hard to leave but I was tired and wanted to go home. Yes despite my attempts to deny my feelings about New Asgard I'm calling it my home now.

The X-mansion will always have a special place in my heart and I will visit often when my citizenship goes through but I can't leave Loki or ask him to leave his home to live in Westchester either. Not after seeing how living in New York treated him first hand.

I'm going to stay in New Asgard because... because I think I'm in love. I know I've known him less than a year and it seems too fast but we've been through so much and he's been by my side all the while. I love him and he's reciprocated that feeling to me, I don't want to leave him so I won't.

When those papers go through I'm going to visit the X-men and try to make them understand why I can't come home permanently. I'd like to go back for a couple nights to say goodbye to the place but I can't stay. I hope they won't be mad at me I'm not abandoning them. I will still visit and go on missions with them. I just can't live at the mansion anymore.

It's Halloween. Loki's out book shopping but I'm at the house I snuck in Halloween costumes for Tony Stark's Halloween party tonight. I got permission from S.H.I.E.L.D to visit the United States for an 'Avengers team building activity' AKA Tony Stark's famous annual Halloween party. Loki doesn't know it yet but he's going, he needs to get out more he cuts himself off from the group more often than not. If he doesn't want to go I'll talk him into it.

Peter helped me pick out the costumes, we're going in a couples costume as Rey and Kylo Ren. Peter told me Loki watched all the Star Wars movies with him just like Peter did with me and seemed to enjoy them. I just have to wait for Loki to get back from the bookstore.

While I wait I start putting my hair into triple knots like Rey has hers in the force awakens following a YouTube video step by step. I chose this hairstyle because it's probably the most iconic of her hairstyles. Finally he arrives home dumping his books on the counter. He lifts an eyebrow at my hair and I smile.

"Guess what we're doing tonight."

"Does it have something to do with that?"

He gestures to my hair.

"Yup!"

I run to the closet where I'm keeping the costumes hidden and pick up Kylo's lightsaber replica and throw it at Loki. He catches it then looks at me in confusion.

"We're going to Tony's Halloween party. I have clearance from S.H.I.E.L.D to be there they're marking it down as being an Avengers Initiative related activity."

As per my arrangement with S.H.I.E.L.D and the M.R.D I'm allowed to be in the United States and any other country following the Sokovia Accords if it's for the Avengers Initiative. With my abilities and fighting skills they wanted me on the team and I was willing to comply. He opens his mouth to argue and I hold up my finger.

"Uh uh uh you cannot just renounce your position in the First Order Knight of Ren!"

I dig in the closet and pull out a Kylo Ren helmet and chuck that his way as well. I got the helmet knowing it might be easier for him to start the night with it on so he doesn't have to worry about Stark's civilian attendees recognizing him if he doesn't want them to. Loki sighs but I can see an amused smile threatening to play on his lips.

"Did Peter put you up to this?"

"Nope, now get ready for duty Supreme Leader Kylo Ren."

I chuck the rest of the costume at him.
He rolls his eyes but holds it up to himself to see if it will fit. It's sure to I made sure it would.

"Fine I'll go, just stop throwing things at me mortal."

He's smiling, failing to hide his amusement now. I giggle and pull my own costume out of the closet.

"And what will you be going as?"

I smirk and hold the costume out in front of me knowing he'll recognize it.

"Rebel scum."

He smiles a little more realizing it's a couples costume. We get ready, I add the scar to his face using a makeup kit I bought while shopping for the costumes with Peter. I take a look at us in the mirror. Yup we'll have the best costumes there.
