The next morning is kinda awkward I can tell Loki is embarrassed. I understand that he thinks he's above it but he was obviously scared he equates scared to weak. Ironically I believe he's one of the strongest people I know considering everything he's been through where he is today is astounding.

I wish I could somehow make him understand just because you have a freak out every now and then due to the fear and anxiety built up inside you, it doesn't make you any less brave for facing it every day. The others spend some time here eating breakfast but leave shortly after.

I understand we might need a hard reset it would be awkward to continue this visit but it won't be next time. This is for the best Loki needs some space. This whole thing was a little overwhelming for him with everything going on with the media which has been impossible to avoid even here.

It seems to be the one piece of news the Asgardians have taken notice of and if we go out anywhere the television in restaurants is always tuned in to a news station and that news station is nine times out of ten talking about what happened. It seems like it's the biggest story and only thing on the media's mind.

This in combination with my family coming over was just the perfect storm for anxiety. Now that I think about it his nightmare was probably triggered by the stress. We say our goodbyes and they leave in the Blackbird we'll be seeing each other again for Christmas. The weeks go by.

I've successfully managed to decorate the house for Christmas with the help of Peter and Thor, Peter buying things I needed and Thor providing him transport. Thor was very excited about Christmas being he's more involved in the holiday each year with Avengers parties and stuff like that.

Loki was very confused to come home and find a tree in the house. He obviously hasn't paid much attention to Christmas during the previous five years because I thought he would've at least known that a Christmas tree goes inside the house and people don't just decorate their outdoor trees. It's funny, we had to pause Elf like a hundred times for me to explain things.

I bought him a copy of A Christmas Carol and other than needing minor explanations he seemed to enjoy it. I learn from Thor that Loki's birthday is fast approaching it looks like he'll be celebrating two Midgardian traditions this year. I wonder just how old he is. I have a rough idea but I'm unsure on the exact number.

Thor's not sure either, keeping track of that for anyone but yourself isn't really a thing in Asgardian culture. Thor gave me a rough estimate of one thousand fifty. I guess when it comes to candles I'm buying a one, a zero, a five, then every number between one and nine I'll ask him the day of what the exact number is before getting out the cake.

Right now we're in the middle of binge watching every classic animated Disney movie because Avenging has been slow lately. Which is a blessing because we've both been anxious lately. It's nothing abnormal, Loki told me it usually is slow around the holliday season. We started at the beginning with Snow White a couple days ago and are now up to Beauty and the Beast. Some notable (and some that are in my opinion hilarious) comments from Loki are:

Snow White: 'Her love interest has the character development of a doorknob.'

Sleeping Beauty: 'Is every female protagonist in these movies helpless?'

The Fox and the Hound: note he was holding back tears, 'Mortal why have you done this to me?'

And The little Mermaid: 'Finally a female protagonist that's not completely incompetent.'

As we watch the film the opening song begins Belle mentions going to the bookshop and Loki turns to me.

"I can already tell I like her."

I smile I knew he'd like Belle and I have a feeling he'll enjoy this movie in general he loves a good story no matter the medium. I'm correct he tells me it's his favorite one so far. We continue our marathon Loki commenting on how the female leads are getting more and more competent. I explain why this is he looks at me like that's the dumbest thing he's ever heard.

"Mortals are strange we had a force of all female warriors, The Valkyries, millennia ago, and your myths and legends are filled with strong females I simply don't understand what caused them to be represented in such a way now."

"It's sexism. I don't know man, I wasn't exactly alive when it started. It seems to be literally everywhere throughout our history, it's probably something to do with testosterone."

He laughs. I look at the list realizing we're finally getting to my personal favorite. I get excited and pump my fist in the air.

"YUSS! We're finally to Mulan! If you thought Jasmine, Meg, and Esméralda were badass prepare to have your mind blown."

We continue our marathon it's fun to just chill with him, to not have any drama for a while. We are both ripe with opportunities for drama because of each of our pasts. Honestly it's exhausting I'm glad we've had some time for a mini staycation. We both needed it after everything that's happened.

Reporters even showed up at our house about a week ago. This caused Loki intense anxiety but as king of New Asgard Thor quickly shut that down. We need this time If we're anxious all the time we're gonna explode and what better way to forget our troubles then by enjoying some classic cinema?
