—-Sam—-

I'm more than ready to crash by the time I get home. I wore myself out I know I was being stupid but it had felt good to let off some steam on people who really did deserve an ass kicking. I don't usually enjoy the violence but sometimes when I'm really angry I almost do that wasn't ever really the case before I was kidnapped.

Most of the time now I feel like some version of my old self just more anxious, most of the time, some days... some days I wake up and just think about everything and I'm not myself at all. Loki helps the best he can but it's just something I have to work through. Joann said that was normal but if it turned into a regular occurrence I should see him immediately. It hasn't it happens less than once a month and I'm always ok the day after.

I just wish I never woke up with that feeling, I wish I could just get rid of the baggage I carry from my trauma but it looks like I'll be dragging it with me for the long haul. Its ok though, I have someone to help me carry it.

He needs help with his too but at the end of the day it works alright, we're always tired from dragging it around but we're also happy. I think of all of this as we walk into the house. Vili oddly doesn't come running or er slithering to greet us which likely means she's curled up somewhere with Mary.

"Hey Mary we're home!!"

Mary appears from her room carrying Vili around her shoulders like, well, a boa. Loki teases her.

"You know, I wasn't aware we were renting that room out to juvenile delinquents."

She laughs.

"If anyone here is a juvenile delinquent it's you."

Loki feigns offense.

"Mary you wound me I am over one thousand years old."

Mary nods with a smirk.

"Sorry you're right you're just a delinquent."

He shakes his head and rolls his eyes as he smiles at this. I laugh.

"Oof."

This makes Mary laugh. We talk for a little bit about everything that's happening and have a frozen pizza for dinner. Immediately after we finish I shower then crash for the night holding Loki close. I know tomorrow night I likely won't even get to see him. I'll probably be sleeping in a cell. Who knows how long it will take for Amora to spill her secrets to Loki. Just before I drift off I think of something.

"Hey Lo'?"

"Hmm?"

Loki sounds like he's almost asleep himself.

"I love you."

He sighs contently and I can somehow tell he's smiling as he replies.

"I love you too mortal."

We both fall asleep shortly after.
