—-Sam—-

Loki and I sit down with our food at a table with the other Avengers in the deli we are both snickering at a conversation between Strange and his friend Wong who are waiting in line and haven't joined us yet. Strange looks exasperated.

"Seriously? You don't have any money?"

"Attachment to the material is detachment from the spiritual."

Strange replies with sarcasm.

"Maybe they'll make you a metaphysical ham and rye."

Wong looks through his wallet.

"Wait, wait, wait. I think I have two hundred."

Strange looks at him hopefully.

"Dollars?"

"Rupees."

"Which is?"

Wong looks ashamed again.

"A...buck and a half."

Strange sighs.

"What do you want?"

"I wouldn't say no to a tuna melt..."

Tony who's sitting across from us towards the window suddenly drops his drink. It shatters on the ground making a mess. Thor scolds him.

"My friend that is very rude I should know I learned the hard way."

Tony ignores Thor's scolding he stares past Thor, Loki, and I and looks towards the window looking concerned.

"Loki? You wouldn't happen to be casting an illusion to make the sky look like it's on fire would you? Because if so New York doesn't think it's funny."

Loki exchanges a confused glance with me before answering.

"Not at the moment no."

All the Avengers turn to look out the window in concern. 'Holy shit the sky is literally on fire!' People are running around in a panic outside the restaurant. We all stand up without another word and step outside the restaurant. As we walk down the street we all cautiously prepare for a fight seeing as unusual circumstances more often than not lead to that.

Thor, Loki, and I change into our armor as Tony, Rhodey, and Pepper similarly activate their nanotech fully armoring themselves save for the helmet. A woman trips as she runs past and Tony helps her up she keeps running saying something about a floating metal man.

My mind immediately goes to Magneto but then I spot the real culprit hovering on a surfboard like object just above seven stories high. He is indeed a metal man he is silver from head to toe. We all spot him around the same time and begin making our way towards the strange being. Tony alerts the authorities.

"Friday evac everyone south of 21st street and contact Fury and the N.Y.P.D with a video feed."

"Will do."

The metallic man begins to speak his voice is loud as if he were using an L.R.A.D People can probably hear him blocks away. He continues to hover slowly loosing altitude as he speaks.

"Let Tera beware for Galactus is coming. This planet will be consumed so the Great Galactus shall live. This is but a decree as to Tera's fa-"

Tony interrupts the man having produced a speaker with his nanotech.

"I'm sorry, Earth is closed today! You better pack it up and get out of here!"

"I'm sorry, Earth is closed today! You better pack it up and get out of here!"

The being looks past Tony to Doctor Strange and Vision.

"Stone keepers does this Terran speak for you?

Strange gets into a defensive stance summoning shields with his magic Wong does the same following his lead.

"Certainly not, I speak for myself. You're trespassing in this city and on this planet."

Not to be ignored Tony adds to that.

"That means get lost stainless steel!"

I giggle slightly at the nickname he's given the being. The being looks almost board.

"Whether I leave or not Tera's fate remains the same though formidable two Infinity Stones cannot defeat Galactus or even the power cosmic."

Loki steps in wielding his silver tongue.

"Perhaps we could come to an arrangement what about this planet is so appetizing to your master?"

"Its life force is stronger than any in over 17,000 light years. There's no arrangement to be made Galactus must consume."

Steve steps up with a question.

"And how long until this Galactus gets here?"

"After this day you have seven of your planet's days. Use this time to make your peace with your gods. This is the end."

Before any of us can say anything more the being flies up and out of our atmosphere at impossible speeds. Seconds later the sky goes back to normal. We all look at each other in shock.
