Sitting here silently in the dark watching over Sam I don't know what to think of Loki. Oddly he'd been completely honest with me he displayed no detectable signs of lying. Other than instances obviously caused by being intimidated, his heart rate, vocal tones, and perspiration had remained steady the entire time.
I don't know what to make of it. He seems to genuinely care about Sam. What he said about not being completely innocent bothers me because it reminds me of myself. His reaction to me threatening him also puzzles me he'd accepted it without question, as if he agreed that that's what I should do if he ever hurt her.
'Can I trust him with her?' I want to say no but more and more evidence is pointing against that. He had sobbed over her when she took his wound, had been by her side when I arrived, and had helped her when no one else would. I sigh I don't trust the guy worth a damn for anything else but when it comes to Sam he's proven more than once he has her back.
He could be trusted with her but I don't know why. 'Why would he have any affection for her?' 'Why would he care at all?' Until I figure that out I'm gonna back off a bit but still keep an eye on him, see what I can observe.
