—-Loki—-

The next day is another meeting discussing the logistics of this plan namingly how we plan to get to Knowhere and having Tony use all the data we have on the stones to create a glove or something similar that can contain the stones and make them as safe as possible for someone to wield before we leave in a couple days. Steve whittles down exactly who will be going on this particular mission.

"The team that will be going to Knowhere and hunting down all three remaining stones will be Tony, Pepper, Peter, Natasha, Clint, Bucky, Thor, Loki, Sam H, Stephen, and myself. Any questions?"

Everyone nods their head we all trust that he had his reasons for choosing this group specifically. I'm glad Sam will be with me if all else fails I can 'accidentally' strand us on some inhabitable world so we're spared. I really hope it doesn't come to that but I'm willing to do whatever it takes to keep her safe even if it makes her hate me.

If we parish then what was the point of all our suffering? I've already risked my life for one world and lost it just the same. I'm unwilling to do that again. I know this makes me a coward but at least we'd survive. The question is would I be able to actually betray her like that even to save her? I hope I still have enough of the old me in me to do that if this plan fails. I honestly don't know if I do. Sam takes my hand again and I feel incredibly guilty for my thoughts. I just want to keep her safe. Fury speaks up.

"Alright everyone mentioned be prepared to leave as soon as you get the call. The minute Stark's done with that gauntlet you're going. Get some rest and prepare yourself for a fight. Everyone else go help the police and military keep order."

We're dismissed we're both tired from planning all day and after stopping at the school to check on Sam's family to make sure they're doing well in this disaster, we go home and take Fury's advice.
