Honorary Little Sister.

I woke up quite a bit earlier than Christian and the guys who stayed at the lake house with us. I got up and threw an oversized t-shirt on and went downstairs to see if there was any sort of breakfast food in the kitchen. I look around and don't find anything super appetizing and definitely not enough to feed major league athletes. Well, I guess they'll have to figure it out. I sit on one of the barstools at the island scrolling through my phone when a few of the guys come around me. 

"Soooo, how is 24 treating you?" Ryan asks standing across from me. 

"Pretty good so far," I say and smile, "I'm glad I could spend it with my favorite people," he smiles and nods. 

"Is he still passed out?" Ryan asks and I nod, "As far as I know," I tell him and he laughs.

 Soon Christian comes down the stairs and walks to the island to join us, "Aww, sleeping beauty is up finally," Ryan says and comes over to tease him some more. 

Christian rolls his eyes and laughs, "Whatever, Brauny," he says. 

We start packing up because we have a game tonight and some of the guys like to be at the park early. "How'd you enjoy your birthday?" Christian asks as we get our stuff in his car and head to the front to go back to his place. 

"I really enjoyed it. Seriously one of the best birthdays I've had in a long time. I couldn't have asked for better people to be surrounded with, and it's all thanks to you," I tell him and grab his hand and kiss the back of it. 

"I'd do anything for you. I really love and enjoy seeing you happy and being yourself," he tells me and I start to lightly blush. 

Christian drops me off at my apartment and walks me to the door, "I'll see you later," he says and hugs me after I open my door. "Okay, make sure to come see me before the game," I tell him letting go and quickly kissing him, "I love you," I tell him. 

He smiles and leans in once more, "I love you too." He leaves me absolutely speechless every time he does that.

 I quickly head to my shower to get all of the lake water out of my hair and off my body. Even though I love spending days at the lake but, the lake smell is just not my favorite. I take my time, as I've got plenty of time before I have to be at the park. I jam out to the music that plays over the Bluetooth speaker and really just treat myself to a "spa day" before the game. 

I got out and started to get ready for the game and eat something here than rather eat at the stadium. I make myself some iced coffee and a small lunch. I see a small wrapped box on my countertop and tilt my head as I walk over to it. I grab it and feel a piece of paper on the back of it. I turn it over and see a small note with familiar writing. 

Happy Birthday, Babe. I saw this the other day and it reminded me of you. I also know you've wanted something like this for a while now. I love you <3.

I furrow my brow and open the box and see a dainty gold necklace with small diamonds. "Oh my god," I say and gasp. Tears start to form in my eyes as I look at the necklace from every angle. I FaceTime Christian immediately as tears are still falling from my eyes. "Hi, beautiful. Why are you crying?" he asks as he sets his phone down in the bathroom and dries his hair with the towel. 

I laugh and set my phone up at the back of my counter and wipe my tears, "Christian, oh my god, did you get this?" I ask as I show him the necklace and take a sip from my drink. 

He tilts his head and looks at me, "Yeah. I saw it when I was out with the guys the other night and I couldn't pass it up," he says and I stare at him in awe.
