Brooklyn~
I woke up surrounded by Christian's strong arms. I smile and kiss his cheek before getting out of his warmth and putting on one of his sweatshirts and heading downstairs to make breakfast for him and his mom.
I get down the steps and see Alecia is already starting breakfast. "Alecia, you don't have to cook breakfast for us. I was actually going to come down and start it," I say stopping at the island.
"Oh, honey, it's the least I could do. You're more than welcome to help if you want," I nod and start helping her.
We made some pancakes and bacon and sat around waiting for Christian to get up. "How did you guys meet? I don't think I've been told," she asks me standing at the stove looking over the bacon.
"We both happen to be out at the same bar that night, and I went to his game that day. The next day was my first day starting with the Brewers, but I didn't tell him that. So, he came to see one of the trainers and it happens to be me and he was so surprised. We kind of just hit it off and exchanged numbers," I tell her and I hear Christian coming down the stairs.
"How's it like working with the guys? Oh, good morning honey," she says as she sees Christian comes down but quickly focuses her attention back on me.
"Honestly it was really intimidating at first, but they're all like my brothers now. It's really fun too. They're such a fun group of guys, how could you not want to be around them?" I joke around as Christian comes and sits by us.
"Did you guys make breakfast?" he asks as he puts one of his hands on my leg. "Yeah," Alecia and I say in unison.
"I came down to make breakfast for you two but she was already up so we made it together," I explain and his smile gets so big, the one that I love the most.
"You guys, this was so good. Thank you for making breakfast," Christian says as I take his plate from him and set it in the sink as I cleaned up the kitchen. "I'm going to start getting ready," Alecia says as Christian and I clean up some more.
"You seriously undersold your mom's kindness. She's the sweetest," I say as putting away the pans that we used. He looks at me and smiles and nods.
"She's the best. She's always supported me and my decisions and it makes me a better person and athlete," he explains while I just listen to him. "You can't ever get rid of me. I think she loves me too much already," I tease him. "I don't plan on it," he says making me grin at him.
Alecia left after tonight's game and I was genuinely sad and I could tell Christian was as well. I mean he is a momma's boy and will admit it so I understand why he doesn't like her leaving so quickly. She became a second mom to me and really was such a good person to be around. She wanted the best for Christian and it showed. I couldn't wait to see her again. Christian and I stayed in the rest of the night, watching movies and cuddling.
It's been a week since Alecia left, but tonight, Christian was meeting my family. I was nervous, to say the least. I just wanted them to treat him like a normal person instead of this rockstar baseball player who happens to like me just as much as I like him. We were meeting them after the game at their house and having dinner with each other.
"What's getting to you kid?" Ryan asks me as I sit at my desk, staring at my laptop screen as he comes in and stands by the door.
I stand up and walk with him to one of the beds and gather some tape for him and a bag of ice. "Christian's meeting my parents and my brother and I just want them to treat him like a normal person instead of some insanely good baseball player," I say looking at him.
