Christian~

We decided to take a last-minute family trip over to Hawaii before Spring Training starts. We leave tomorrow afternoon and I just finished packing my stuff. Kayden's first time in Hawaii and we'll be there for a whole week. I look over at our bed and see Brooklyn still sleeping and Kayden laying right next to her. She hasn't been feeling the best for the past couple of weeks and I feel so bad because I can't do much. I probably should wake her up though, it's getting a little too late and we need to head over to the other house to check on its progress since we won't be in town for the next week.

I sit down on the side of the bed and gently run my hand up and down her side until she starts to move and faces me more. "Morning, beautiful," I say quietly and Kayden looks over at her and sees she's finally awake. He attacks her with a hug not even allowing her to return the greeting.

"Morning."

"Are you feeling better?" She sits up against the headboard and pulls the covers up with her, "Better than the last few days."

"Good, I'm glad." The past few days have probably been the hardest yet. You could just visibly see that she didn't feel good. She slept most of the day and only got up to eat or to try and be with Kayden while I was working out. If somehow I could transfer everything going on into my body, I would. Would I be a big baby? Yeah, probably. But, I just want to know and understand more of what she's going through.

"Well, I just finished packing and wanted to get you up so we can go over to the house before we leave."

"Just give me a few minutes to get ready."

"We aren't in a rush," I say before kissing her temple. "I'll go get him ready."

"Okay," she says quietly and gets it out of our bed. I watch as she heads into the closet and bathroom before I take Kayden to his room to get him ready.

"Mama, okay?" he asks me quietly. "Yeah, mama is okay. She's just tired. Let's go get some breakfast in you."

I give Kayden a plate of food as Brooklyn comes downstairs. She kisses the top of Kayden's head before coming over to me and standing up on her toes to kiss me. "Didn't want to bum it out today?" I ask noticing she's wearing some jeans that looked so good on her. Even on her worst days, she still looks the best.

"Well, I figured I'd put myself together a little bit. And your mom has been in and out over there a lot so just in case she was to come by. I think she would sense something was up by my appearance."

"Probably a smart idea. Where'd you get this?" I ask pulling on the Brewers quarter-zip she had on. "They gave it to us last year."

"I like it."

"Thank you." She goes over into the fridge to grab something to eat and sits down next to Kayden as he continues to pick at his plate. I could watch them all day if someone let me. "Are you going to just stand there and watch us?" she asks me. I laugh and nod, there's my girl.

I snap out of my daze and open the garage to start the car. I come back in and put on a sweatshirt and wait for them near the door. We all get situated in the car, Kayden in his car seat, Brooklyn sitting very close to the middle console spot so when I do put my hand over in her thigh, she can lean on my arm. I don't think she notices that I know when she wants to do this, but I do and I love it. Through both pregnancy's she's gotten really clingy to me specifically and I don't mind one bit. She always has to be touching me in some way.

"I am so glad I don't feel awful anymore. I was really hoping I wouldn't just have to stay inside while we're there," she says as I drive the short distance to our new home.
