Brooklyn~
"Have you called your mom yet? She's been texting me wondering if you're okay."
We just got back to the hotel room after we slowly made our way from the bus. I put him on crutches just so he can take his weight off of his knee and he's not that happy with me for that. "I was just about to," he tells me and hands me the set of crutches so I can lean them against one of the walls.
I open up my suitcase and grab some different clothes and all of my shower stuff. I turn the shower on and wait for it to get hot before stepping in. I let my body completely relax and let the water fall on top of me. I listen to the soft music that plays on my phone and drowns out everything around me.
I wash my hair and body before deciding I should probably get out as I know it's getting late. I wrap my hair in a small towel and change into some shorts and a sports bra before coming out and seeing Christian laying in bed talking to who I assume is his mom.
I set out my clothes for tomorrow and go over to plug my phone into one of the many outlets. Christian puts his mom on speaker, "Mom, tell Brooklyn what you found out the other day."
I furrow my brow before she starts speaking, "Oh, yes! So the other day, the venue director contacted me and said everything should be set for January 28th and that you guys have the entire place to yourselves. No other event is scheduled for that day around the property and they plan to keep it that way. They also offered to have food catered in from there instead of you guys finding somewhere to cater in."
"That's awesome. That helps out a lot if they can cater the food."
"That's what I was thinking! When I fly into Milwaukee we can go over that. They gave me some different menu options to show you guys and then once you both decide I will let them know."
"Mom, that's sounds great. One of us or both of us will be there to pick you up when you land. I go to the doctor right when we get back so I guess it all depends on that."
"Okay, sounds good. You two get some rest, you both sound tired. Love you guys."
"We love you too, Mom. We'll see you in Milwaukee." He hangs up and plugs in his phone next to mine. I stand in between his legs and fix his hair, "You need anything right now? Meds? Ice?"
He shakes his head, "No, just you." I smile and lean into him some more and his arms wrap around my thighs. I drape my arms on his shoulders and tilt my head, "What?"
"It's just the closer we get, the more excited I am to see you that day. Like, I already know I'm gonna cry when you do walk down the aisle."
"See and then there's me, who's worrying about everything we still have to do. We should switch mindsets one day just to give mine a break."
He laughs as I lean down to kiss him. "Hopefully, when my mom is here we can get a few things squared away, and then you have less to worry about."
"That sounds like heaven." He laughs once again and starts to stand up.
"Be careful," I tell him and move out of the way as he goes over to his suitcase.
"Yeah, yeah, I know."
I climb into our very comfortable bed and get underneath the covers and wait for him to join me. I watch as he carefully walks back over to his side of the bed after changing. After we sat in the trainer's room for a while, I noticed his knee got pretty swollen so that made me pretty worried about him putting weight on his leg, therefore, I gave him crutches, which he denied but he was taking them no matter what.
