Brooklyn~
The last few games of the season are under our fingertips and it doesn't seem real. We flew down to Chicago last night to face the White Sox in the World Series. We already have a leg up at 2-0 for the series. It started in Milwaukee, but it could finish in Chicago if things go accordingly. Both teams were playing hard and giving it their all. In all honesty, playing the White Sox is so much more convenient than playing the Yankees. It's not far from Milwaukee and the team always has a fun time in Chicago. All of us were pretty excited to play the White Sox.
Christian stands behind me as I straighten my hair in the bathroom. "I'm gonna go get some more food downstairs. Do you want any?"
I shake my head, "No, I'm okay." He nods and kisses the back of my head, "Okay, I'll be back up soon."
I hear the door click shut as my phone starts ringing from its place on the charger. I head out and grab it and see Maggie's calling me. I accept it and set her up against the wall and continue to do my hair. "Hi," I greet her and she's quick to do the same.
"Hey, we all just wanted to wish you guys good luck. We'll be watching from our couch cheering you both on," she says and shows her phone around so I can see Will and Alana.
"Thank you. Did you guys want those tickets if we have to go back and play in Milwaukee? I have two extra tickets. So if you guys want them, they're yours."
"Seriously? I thought those were for your brother?"
"He's not able to go if there's a game. He was going to take his girlfriend with him, but he can't make it that night. Besides, I'm not a fan of her anyway." She laughs, "Why, what'd she do?"
"She didn't do anything. He can do so much better though." I hear the door click open and see Christian come in with a bag of food and two drinks. I take down the last parted section of my hair and brush through it before straightening it. I see her roll her eyes at my statement. Christian comes into the bathroom and hands me a drink. He probably knew I was going to get hungry and still got me some food.
"Did you get me food?" I ask him as he comes into the camera frame more. "Yes, because you would've taken some of my food if I didn't." He's not wrong.
I try not to show my smile but continue to focus on my hair. "Christian, good luck," Maggie tells him. "Thank you," he sits down on the tub ledge and talks with them. We hear Alana squeal through the phone assuming she heard Christian talking. "Someone wants to see you," I say and look at him through the mirror.
I hand him my phone so he can talk to them and see Alana. Even when they're 100 miles away from each other, they are still the cutest pair to watch.
I finish my hair and sit down next to Christian and lean on his shoulder. "We'll let you guys go. Good luck. We'll be cheering for you."
I smile and so does Christian, "Thank you," we both say, "Bye."
"You ready? We can eat on our way there."
I hold my hand out as Christian stands up. "Yeah," I tell him as he pulls me up from the ledge. He doesn't let go of my hand, he pulls me close to him and leans down to kiss me.
"Let's go win this thing, baby."
"Sounds like a plan."
Game 7, Miller Park, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Here we are again, the last game of the season. Honestly, it's not going too great right now. I play with my ring as I watch Christian go up to bat. We're down by three right now, and it's the seventh inning. Lorenzo's on base at second. Arcia's on base at third. Christian takes a few balls, then fouls a few more off. He soon gets walked and starts to make his way to first. Ryan Braun. I stand on one of the lower steps and watch him and Christian.
