Brooklyn~

I rolled over onto my side and tried my best to go back to sleep but I guess my little boy wants to be up right now. "You do not make this easy," I whisper and sit up in our bed. I let out a breath and stand up and quietly open and close our door. I use my phone's light to make it downstairs and into the kitchen.

I look through the fridge and freezer because we're both hungry. I see a pint of ice cream and shrug. Sounds pretty good right now. I look over at the microwave, 2:43, jeez kid. I love you, I do, but seriously.

I quietly walk back upstairs with my ice cream and spoon and head into what will be our baby boy's room. I sit down against one of the walls and start to eat the small pint of ice cream. I look around at the small amount of baby stuff we already have. Some clothes, some decorations scattered everywhere.

I run my hand down my 20-week bump. I can't believe we're already halfway there. His kicks have been getting stronger and I love every single one, even when he kicks me in my other organs.

"I can't wait to meet you, little dude. What should we do with your room? Animals? Or outdoorsy?"

No response, "Okay, let's try this again, animals?"

He kicks me and it makes me laugh, "Outdoorsy?" Nothing.

"Okay, animals it is."

"I figured I'd find you in here," Christian says quietly opening the door more and sitting down in front of me. I set the pint down, "We got hungry." He chuckles and grabs my hands and starts rubbing them. "You didn't have to get up."

"I rolled over and saw you weren't there. Wanted to make sure you were okay."

"I'm okay. He picked out what we're doing for his room?"

"He did?" Christian asks me a little confused. "Yeah. I was just talking to him and just sitting in here kind of reminded me. Then I figured I'd ask and if he kicked me for one of the options, then we're doing that one."

He laughs, "And which one was that?"

"Animals."

"I was hoping for that one." I laugh, "Oh, I know."

"Okay, so Christian and I talked about this before getting here and we both agreed that I work until I'm told not to or he comes. I've thought about working until I'm 36 weeks, I guess we'll see when we get there. I will stop traveling with the team when I hit 36 weeks unless we're going to Chicago, which I don't know if we are. I'm healthy enough to keep working unless told not to. If he decides to make an early appearance, I'll obviously go on maternity leave and that'll lead us to the end of the season," I tell Jordan and Sarah as we all sit in my office.

"So, when are you due again?"

"November 9th. So I know then we won't be in season but the possibility of us going into the postseason is always there. They want us to be prepared."

"What would it look like if you aren't here or when we are away?" Jordan asks me.

"It'd be the same. I just wouldn't be there. Jordan, you would be like an 'Interim Head Trainer.' It's like the same thing now, just I won't be there for an extra hand. We still have a little bit until then, but I want both of you to be prepared when I do leave."

"Okay, so would we send you anything while you're gone?"

"No, you both know what to do. That and I don't really want to do work with a newborn." They both laugh, "Just wanted to make sure."
