A Little Crazy.

Brooklyn~

I head downstairs into our basement and into what has really turned into just my office. I look at the mess that sits on my desk and the floor. So many wedding decorations lay around for me to decide and just look at. I set my mug down on the desktop and turn to open the curtain. This might be my favorite room in the house. I'm eye-level with the lake and it lets in so much natural light. I turn my music on, not too loud since Christian is still sleeping upstairs and he needs his sleep.

I look around the room and have no clue where to start. There's just so much that needs to be sent to California and stuff that needs to be sent back. I feel like I blacked out and ordered so much stuff. I go out of my office and find some boxes so I can find and send whatever needs to be sent back that we didn't decide on.

I finally tackled all of that and go all of our stuff that can be sent to California, into one corner of my office. It's amazing, I can see my desk and floor again. I'm honestly surprised Christian hasn't come down yet. It's almost 10:30. I guess we did have a late night. They played their last regular-season game, which they won, thankfully.

But, we ended with a ceremony for Ryan to commemorate everything he's done for the organization. We all wanted him to have a proper send-off if things didn't go to plan and we didn't go far in the postseason. We got home pretty late so I understand why he's asleep still.

I let out an exaggerated sigh as I open my laptop so I can do some more planning. Before Alecia left a couple of weeks ago, we all sat down went over flowers, but we didn't do much with it. I know what I want them to look like. I just need to find someone who has the flowers and can do it.

Obviously, they can't be based here in Milwaukee, so trying to find somewhere in Malibu where they have the flowers that I would really like to have has been sort of a struggle. I've talked with Alecia and my mom about this multiple times, and they both like the ideas that I've come up with and they both want it to happen. Therefore, I'm going to make it happen.

I push my glasses onto my face and continue to look at different florists and making tons of calls to florists in Malibu, Thousand Oaks, and Camarillo. Who knew flowers and bouquets would be this hard.

The office door swings open and reveals a messy-haired, shirtless Christian. "Morning," I say turning toward him in my chair.

"Hi," he comes over and pulls a chair next to me which makes me scoot mine over more, "What are you looking at?"

"Flowers. I'm been calling places for the past half an hour seeing what they have in stock right now, and what they'll have in stock in January."

"Wasn't my mom looking around too?"

"Yeah, we've been crossing off places that won't have the stock to do them and that doesn't have everything. I've talked to both of our moms about this design that would look so good. They both love it and for the life of me, I can't find anybody who has the overstock to make it happen. The floral designs don't need to be confirmed until the middle of December, but it's like I have the time, so why not use it to get stuff settled now."

"Do you think we're a little crazy for planning a wedding in just over a year?" he asks me and I slightly nod. "Yeah, maybe just a little."

He turns my chair so I can fully face him, "What time did you get up?"

"Like 8:30, I think. It was a mess in here so I wanted to clean it before I started looking at flower stuff. That's why there's a couple of boxes out there. They just need to be sent back to where they came from."

"Do you have anything else planned for today?"

"After I'm done in here, I want to go do a workout since I have nothing better to do. Maggie and Alana might come over later. She found her dress and wants me to see it in person."
