Good Memories.

We made it down to Atlanta this afternoon and got settled into our hotel. Some of the guys wanted to go out, but Christian and I stayed in since both of us were tired. We packed right away after we got home from Miller Park and made sure we came home to a clean house. Who knew owning a house was so much work. 

We don't have a game tonight so we're trying to decide if we want to go out with some of the guys or stay in and relax. I think we're both leaning toward staying in. 

I sit up in our bed, under the covers, watching Netflix from my laptop as Christian showers. I barely pay attention to what's on my screen as I find myself zoning out. I shake it off and look at my phone as it lights up.

Maggie: Hey girl just wanted to let you know that we had our appointment today. I know you're in Atlanta for the next couple of days but I wanted to let you know that you can pick up our results whenever you get back. Thanks again! Love you guys! Hope everything goes well this week!

"Omg, yay! I will pick it up when we get back, so Thursday! Do you guys have a date picked out yet? I want to start ordering stuff soon."

Christian comes out and grabs some clothes before changing and coming and laying down by me. 

Maggie: Well, we want you and Christian to be completely free. So, we are thinking sometime after the World Series no matter if you guys make it that far.

"Okay, so the last day the World Series would be October 28, assuming it'll be a 7 game series. So we can do it immediately after or we can wait a couple of weeks. If we do it immediately you and Will need to compile a list of guests now and send out invites, which you should just do virtually."

Christian looks over at me and smiles, "Is that Maggie?" he asks as he moves closer to me. "Yeah, I can go get the gender results when we get back to Milwaukee."

"When's the reveal going to be? What are you planning to reveal it with?"

"She told me she wants to wait until the World Series is over because in the case we do make it that far, she wants us there. I just asked her for a date so I can start ordering stuff. I think I'm planning on doing like a smoke bomb with the color and then also confetti. I'm still deciding on what I want to do," I tell him looking back at my phone. 

Maggie: Let's do November 13th, that way it's gives you guys about two weeks to recover from the craziness of the season if the World Series will happen for you guys again. I know that gives you only about 6 weeks but we don't want anything too big. It'll most likely just be our families, some of our friends, and then a few of our co-workers. 

"Okay sounds good! I'm really excited! How have you been feeling?" 

Maggie: Honestly, really good! We got to hear the heartbeat today and I absolutely balled my eyes out. :) I'll send it to you! It's the most magical thing I've ever heard.

She sends me the video and I instantly play it and put it up to my ear. "What are you listening to?" Christian asks me as I listen to the heartbeat and tears form in my eyes. She is going to make the best mom. "Here, listen," I tell him handing him my phone and watch as he listens but also watches the video. "Wow," he says quietly and hands me my phone back, "that's incredible."

I can't wait to hear that one day for my baby. "November 13th is going to be the reveal," I tell him and he moves my laptop onto him and changes what we're watching. 

"Maggie, that is spectacular. I am so, so, SO happy for you guys," I text her back before I put my phone on the nightstand and get up and turn the light off before getting back into bed with Christian. I move closer to him as he put on a different movie and lay my head on his bicep.
