My mom flew into Milwaukee for the weekend and I couldn't be more ecstatic for Brooklyn to meet her. I know she was super nervous but honestly, there was nothing to worry about. My mom already loves her. Brooklyn was my dream girl and she meant so much to me.

"Mom, I'm so glad you could make it this weekend," I say putting her luggage in the back of my car and hopping back into the car. "So, when do I get to meet Brooklyn? You've told me so much and I already love her," my mom says getting situated in the passenger seat.

I laugh, "Later tonight, after the game, she's coming over for dinner."

"I'm really excited to meet her."

"She's really excited to meet you too. She told me you are already like a second mom to her," I say looking at my mom and smiling but focusing back on the road.

Brooklyn~

"Maggie, I am freaking out. I'm meeting his mom tonight. I just really want her to like me," I say as I walk around my room frantically as she sits on my bed. "Brooklyn, you are fine. Everything is going to be great tonight. Seriously, stop stressing."

I look at her and smile, "I seriously don't deserve you sometimes," I say going over to her and hugging her. "Oh, stop it," she says and looks at me with such joy. "Brooklyn, you deserve this. You deserve Christian. I haven't seen you this happy in months. Like your glowing. You aren't pregnant are you?" My eyes go wide at her question, "what? No. I still take my birth control, don't worry. You don't get to become an aunt that easily," I laugh and go back to getting my work bag ready.

I check my phone and see Christian texted me.

Christian: Just picked up my mom! She can't wait to meet you. See you at the game later!

"Awww yay! I can't wait to meet her too! :) I'll see you later. Come see me before the game starts."

Christian: Will do! ;)

I smile and set down my phone and think a little about Christian and me.

"Maggie, can I tell you something?" I say as she was on her phone scrolling through her various social media accounts. "Yeah, what is it?" She asks with a worried tone.

"Well, I haven't told Christian this but I yet I kind of did. He was asleep and I-"

"Oh my god, you said it didn't you? You said I love you to him? Brooklyn, oh my god."

"Like I said he was fast asleep so I'm fairly certain he didn't hear me, but yeah, I did, and it felt completely normal. I wasn't scared to say it either. It felt right," I said and looked at her and smiled.

I arrived at work and got straight to work. I knew it would be a hectic day, but also meeting Christian's mom today, was just the cherry on top of today. I mean I was ecstatic to meet her, Christian made it seem like we were so similar so I'm really hoping that it goes well. I purposely got to Miller Park early so I could have some time to myself and just think and be by myself.

I see someone come through the trainer's room into my office and I assume it's Christian. "Hey, you wanted to see me? Everything okay?" he asks with a worried look on his face.

"What? No. I just wanted to see you before the game. I didn't know if we would be alone before I come over later tonight," I say as I take his hand and he sits down in my chair and brings me into his lap. "Mom is so excited to meet you. She can barely contain her excitement," I laugh and play with his hand. "I'm really excited too." He puts his hand on my legs and gently rubs them up and down. He leans toward me and kisses me. "That will never get old," he tells me and I smile at him.
