Brooklyn~

"Hey, Couns, can we talk?" Christian asks him as we walk into his office before the game. Even though I'm due in November, you never know if our little one will come early and the possibility of the guys being in the playoffs is always looming.

"Yeah, come on in. What's up?" Christian looks over at me, "The rest of the team doesn't know this yet, they will later tonight. But, we are welcoming a little one around November 9th. We don't know what the postseason will bring, so we wanted you to be prepared and be one of the first people to know."

His shocked face makes me lightly giggle, "That is great news. Congratulations! We can talk more about this later when you guys know more."

"Thank you," we both say and hug him. Counsell is like that father figure to everyone. "I'm excited for you guys."

"Are you gonna tell the rest of the team after the game?"

"Yeah, just something simple. Nothing too special."

"I'll keep my lips sealed."

Christian and I start the short walk to my office, "Are you excited to tell Maggie?"

"Is that even a question?" I laugh, "Yeah, she's gonna freak out," I say as I unlock the door to my office. "She might scream."

"She might," I say and set my bag down. "What time for tomorrow?"

"10."

"I'm really excited," he tells me quietly as someone is walking in. Probably Jordan or Sarah, or both.

I smile, "I know, me too."

"I'll see you in a bit, okay?"

"Yeah." I stand on my toes to quickly kiss him as I notice Jordan and Sarah standing near my door.

I watch Christian leave before I start talking to them, "Hey, don't come straight back here after the game."

"Huh, why? Where do we go?" Jordan asks me.

"You'll see and just stay in the clubhouse."

"Okay..."

I walk back into my office to see what needs to be done today. I sit down in my chair as my feet are already starting to hurt. That might be one of my least favorite things right now. I always end up taking my shoes off at some point before the game. It's like I can only stand or walk for so long because my feet start to hurt. But once I get going with work, I kind of don't notice it as much. My morning sickness has been letting up this week and I hope it stays like that.

I reach for my phone as I see it light up.

Maggie: Hey, miss you like crazy. I can't wait to see you guys tonight. Is 7 still good?

"Yeah, should be good. If we aren't home, you have a key so let yourself in. We have a small meeting as a whole team after the game, but it should be really quick. Miss you too!"

Maggie: Okay, sounds good!

"Brooklyn, the guys are coming in," Sarah shouts from the main area. I silently groan and throw my head back. Why can't they fix themselves?

"Hey, Keston how's your arm?"

"Definitely hurts. He got it good yesterday, pretty much on the bone."

I look at his arm and decide what to do. "Do you want to play, better yet, can you play?"

"Obviously, I want to play. What do you think is best for me?"
