Brooklyn~

Well, that lead didn't last long. The Braves showed up after Christian's home run. Bottom of the 6th and it's 8-2. "I'm gonna run back and see how Drew is doing. Let me know if anything happens," I tell Sarah and shove my phone into my back pocket. She nods and smiles before I realize the guys are coming back into the dugout.

"Hey, we doing okay in here?" I ask coming in and see the three of them talking.

"Yeah, my head still hurts but I feel great. How are the guys doing?" Drew asks me. "Well, we could be doing a lot better. It's 8-2 right now. Christian hit a two-run homer in the 3rd. But after that, the Braves really showed up. We aren't looking too good right now."

"Damn, that sucks. Keep us updated though," Jordan says and I quickly nod and head back out.

"How's he doing?" Sarah asks me as I sit back down next to her. "Really good for just getting hit in the head a couple of hours ago."

Ryan comes up to us, "What's up Brauny," I say as he sits next to me.

"Well, I wish our runs were higher right now," he says and sighs. He points to Christian, "He's not very happy either."

Good to know. "Because we aren't winning?" I ask and he nods. "Yeah, I feel like he's expecting more from himself."

What more could he do? He got us on the board first. I mean sure 8-2 isn't great but there's still time left.

"Thanks for letting me know. But also, all of you need to relax. We still have at least two more games to play. If you can't figure it out tonight, figure it out tomorrow or when we're back in Milwaukee. It's one night."

The Braves destroyed us. 14-3. Lo added on another homer late in the game. It's like they could get on base, but they would stay there. Nobody was actually driving in runs or getting good enough hits to score a run. I sat in the office writing up some 'rules' for Drew and his wife to follow for the first few nights. Just precautionary concussion protocol.

"Are you almost done?" Christian says with a hint of sass coming into the office rather moody. We're gonna be in a mood tonight.

I ignore his attitude, "Yeah, just give me a minute," I say as he sits down in my chair and I go out to talk to Drew.

"Here you go. Call or text one of us if anything changes. I wrote all of our numbers down on the paper in case you can't reach one of us."

They both thank me and head out and onto the buses. "We can go," I say to Christian coming back and grabbing my bag and windbreaker.

"Sorry if I have an attitude. I'm just pissed right now," he tells me as we walk down the hallway.

"I get why you're pissed but don't take it out on me. It won't help the situation if you take it out on me," I tell him quietly as we get outside and head for the buses.

"I'm sorry," he says stopping in front of me and leans down to kiss me.

"It's okay. I know you don't mean it." We both walked onto the weirdly silent bus and sit down in our seats. He leans into me and watches as I scroll through social media. I get why he's pissed. It was a bad game for the boys and team.

We make our way back to the hotel and order some food from the hotel. It was mediocre, nothing too special. Christian still doesn't seem 'normal' and I can tell he's still bothered by the game tonight.

I stand at the end of our bed facing him until he notices me. He looks up from his phone and smiles at me. I raise my eyebrows and nod toward the bathroom.
