"Babe, you gotta get up. We need to get to the stadium soon," I tell Christian as he lays in our bed passed out. He softly groans as I run my fingers through his hair. "Do we have to?" he asks me.

"Yes. We both have a job to go do," I say and lean down to kiss him. "I'll be downstairs if you want some breakfast."

I sit at the island looking over my email and eating some scrambled eggs. Christian's arms wrap around me and he kisses the side of my head. "There's more in the pan if you want some," I say pointing over to the stove. "Thank you."

I look over at my email and see that Scott has forwarded an email to me from Mark and David. "What are you reading?" Christian says as he comes over and sits by me. 

"Um, I guess David and Mark want to talk to me when I get there today." I have no clue what this is about. "Why?"

"I'm not sure. It doesn't really say," I tell him and read it again making sure I didn't miss anything. Oh well, I guess I'll find out later.

"Hey, Brooklyn, did you get my email?" Scott asks me as I sit in my office. "Yeah, what's that about?"

"They want to talk to you about the future of the Athletic Training Department."

"The future?" I question because now I'm even more confused. 

"Just head up there now," he tells me and I grab my phone before heading out.

"Hey, where are you going?" Christian asks me as I head to Mark's office. 

"I'm going to talk to David and Mark now. I'll be back," I say but Christian lightly grabs my arm and kisses me quick. "Hey, calm down. I'm sure it'll go just fine." I smile at him but soon make my way over to his office.

I quietly knock on his door, "Come in." I open the door and smile. "Brooklyn, how are you?" Mark asks me as I sit down in front of his desk. "Pretty good, what about you."

"Oh, I am doing fantastic. We are just waiting for David to get down here. I heard he was up talking to Counsell on the field."

"Oh, okay."

Soon David comes in and stands behind Mark. God, this is intimidating. "So we just want to tell you that we appreciate everything you do for the Athletic Training department. That being said we want to offer you the Head Athletic Trainer position," David tells me.

"Wh- What? But Scott's the Head Athletic Trainer?"

"Yes, of course. He is being offered another job with the White Sox and we believe he is taking it. He's the one who said we should check with you first. So before we post to the public we are looking for a head athletic trainer we wanted to check with you first. Brooklyn, you have the newest skills and knowledge than anyone else here. Now, we don't need an answer right this minute but we just wanted to put it out there."

"I am more than interested in the position. Can I get back to you by the end of the day?" I ask them both and they nod. "Do you have any questions for us?" David asks me.

"If you don't mind me asking when would the transition happen and also what comes along with the job besides the title?"

"So Scott is planning on transferring in about a week, so we will need an answer soon. But the job is pretty much the same. I know you have covered for Scott a few times so it'll just be like that the entire time. Obviously, we would hire an assistant athletic trainer just for more hands. Also, your salary will increase. So now you make around $125,000 and being the Head Athletic Trainer will increase your salary by 35%, which I know might sway you toward yes, but it's important you know that. Brooklyn, there is nobody better for this job, than you. You have shown us how hard you work daily and you more than deserve it."
