Christian~
"Mom we don't even know where to start. We have a date and a general location, but after that, nothing," I tell her as I stopped by her house after my training session with Ryan.
"Why don't you guys come over one night and we can go through some stuff and set up some appointments. Don't let this be a stressful situation. You guys have a year to get everything situated."
"I train in the morning every day, so we aren't busy. Does tomorrow night work?" I ask her pulling out my phone to look at my calendar.
"Yeah, if neither of you is busy then we should be good," I nod and quickly shoot her a text.
I'll be home soon. Mom can go through some wedding plans with us whenever. Does tomorrow night work?
Brooklyn🤍: Yeah! I don't think we have anything going on.
Okay. See you in a bit.
"Tomorrow night should work just fine," I tell my mom and she smiles and nods.
"I can't believe you're getting married. I'm so proud of you, like extremely proud of you." We hug before I start to head out and go home to my wonderful fiancee.
I walk in the door, set my keys down, and grab something small to eat and drink. I turn the corner to see Brooklyn laying on our couch, almost on the verge of passing out, watching Criminal Minds. I think that's her fourth time going through the entire series. If it makes her happy, I'm happy.
She turns her head to look up at me and gives me a tired smile, "Hey, how was training?"
"It was good, tiring, but really good. Ryan said hi. I would come sit down but I'm all sweaty so I won't," she laughs, "Probably a good idea." I lean down over the back of the couch and kiss her,
"I'm gonna go shower,"' I say and she nods and focuses her attention back on the TV.
I come back out and see she's passed out as the show continues to play. I fix the blanket she had over herself and sit down carefully next to her. Jet lag must still be getting to her. I run my fingers through her hair and change what she's watching to ESPN.
After about an hour she starts to stir and wake up. She doesn't say much but she sits up on the couch and faces me. "Jet lag still getting you?" I ask her and she nods.
"Yeah, I didn't sleep well last night, and then to top it off with being on the other side of the world a few days ago just made it a little worse."
"You feeling okay?"
"Yeah, just couldn't get comfortable last night and I wasn't that tired. If anything I'm sure it's just like my seasonal allergies that like to attack my immune system every winter," she tells me, and we both chuckle.
"So tomorrow night, mom is going to go over some stuff we should get done now like booking a venue, you know, all that. Then we should probably decide what our bridal party should look like soon too."
She nods, "That sounds great! So I was thinking we have Celine, Greyson, and Carter be included just because I don't think I know anyone close to me that has little kids. And I don't know if Maggie's daughter will be walking so I don't want to take any chances there," I nod my head in agreement. "I don't think I know any little kids besides Celine, Greyson, and Carter. I think that's a great idea."
Brooklyn~
We walk into Alecia's house, "Come on in. There are some leftovers on the stove if you two haven't eaten yet. If you have, let's get started with this."
