"So what do you need again?" Kai mumbled, holding the car door open. He peered in, the question directed at Hayley.

Hayley rolled her eyes, sighing deeply. She unlocked the door, slipping out. "How about we all just go? You're as useless as they come."

Kai scoffed, eyes wide as he watched Hayley challenge him with her hands on her hips. "I'm a Gemini Witch, you can't call me useless."

"You're a defect," Hayley snarled, walking up and into the mini bar, the sign Rousseau's hanging above. The wolf was extremely hungry, her cravings skyrocketing over the charts.

Kai watched her enter the building with slight signs of annoyance and anger. Bonnie reached his side, rubbing his arm to calm him down. "She wanted raw red meat and mint chocolate."

Kai shook his head, "How was I supposed to remember that? That's the most uncultured combo I've ever heard of."

Bonnie ignored his complaints and pulled out her notebook. "Okay, we've searched nearly every inch of New Orleans and all of the people we talked to led us here." She glanced down the busy street, smiling at the tourists and strangers speaking comfortably amongst themselves. The three arrived in the French Quarter earlier that morning, after spending 5 days looking for Klaus in New Orleans. There came a point where Bonnie wondered if the hybrid was still in the state of Louisiana.

"I hear all sorts of bad things about this place," Kai mumbled, leading her inside the bar after Hayley. She seemed to be ordering, a mild line up behind her.

"Everywhere Klaus goes has its own dose of bad," Bonnie added. She pulled Kai to a seat, her eyes wandering occasionally back to Hayley. "But I have a good feeling about here. I feel a lot of vampires and witches."

"Feel?"

"Yeah, ever since we left Mystic Falls, I've been examining these new psychic powers of mine. Although I haven't had any fresh visions, I've started to recognize the pulse of a witch, werewolf and vampire at first glance." Bonnie leaned against the chair, sighing deeply.

Hayley reached the table, bunching her hands around the wool cardigan she had on. "Are you sure this is the right place?"

"Yeah, why?" Bonnie sat back up straight.

"The bartender..." Hayley pointed to the woman but trailed off to find her gone. She frowned and turned back to Kai and Bonnie with a shiver. "Just gave me a weird vibe."

Kai rolled his eyes and picked up a menu, scanning through it with intent. "You're probably overreacting. Did you at least order for us?"

Hayley ignored him and faced Bonnie. "I don't think looking for Klaus was the best move. What if he..." she lowered her voice with a hard swallow. "What if he decides to kill the baby because everybody wants to use it against him?" She remembered Tyler, how she had so much faith for him to accept the baby. How things have turned.

"Maybe we should let that happen. I am so over this scavenger hunt," Kai mumbled, keeping his eyes glued on the laminated sheet. Bonnie kicked him under the table with a glare.

"Nobody is hurting the baby, I promise you, Hayley." Bonnie glanced around the bar, trying to keep her eyes out for signs of trouble. "Plus, Elijah would never let that happen."

"Who the hell is Elijah?" Hayley frowned deeply.

"The noblest of the whole family. He is the only one I trust enough to have the sense to help us. Klaus will most likely neglect the kid at first but after a couple of words from Elijah, he'll grow up," Bonnie assured herself.

"So we're looking for Elijah, not Klaus?"

"Whichever brother is fine," Bonnie said and tuned out Kai's response when the door to Rousseau's slammed open. A man, skin dark like hers, pranced in. He caught the attention of many in the bar and a woman approached him.

"That's her, that's the bartender that doesn't sit right with me." Hayley pointed to the woman, now whispering to the authoritative man.

Bonnie stood quickly, tossing the keys to Kai. "Take her to the car, I'll meet you guys in a few."

Kai didn't hesitate, grabbing Hayley by the arm and dragged her along with him. Bonnie took a deep breath when the bartender pointed at Hayley, who just went out back with Kai. The man seemed to notice Bonnie's defences and started to walk towards her. "When I heard that there was a new wolf in the French Quarter, I didn't expect her to be protected by two witches. Must be an important one."

"We don't want trouble. We're just looking for someone," Bonnie declared, keeping her head levelled.

He chuckled, shrugging. "Alright, who are you looking for? I can help you, I'm Marcel Gerard," he held a hand out for her.

Bonnie didn't take the extended greeting and stated, "I'm looking for Klaus and Elijah Mikaelson."

Marcel's face broke in a wide grin. "Wow, we got the world looking for the Mikaelson's now?" Bonnie started to grow impatient, noting that the customers were kindly escorted out of the bar. The only two that remained were Marcel and Bonnie. He pulled out a chair and urged for her to take a seat. She warily did, her mood souring when she still felt the energy of vampires and witches surround the building. "Tell me, why are you looking for the number one enemy of my city?"

"It's personal." My city?, Bonnie wondered.

Marcel clicked his tongue, sighing deeply. "Then I'm afraid I can't help you if I don't know what kind of business you're doing here. Although, I bet it has to do with that wolf. And the baby she's carrying."

Bonnie inhaled deeply, shoving the table back hard. Marcel stumbled, falling to the floor briefly. He flitted to his feet, recovering. His goofy demeanour was wiped off, replaced with a mask of sternness. Bonnie brought her hands high, the lights and candles in the bar flickering and the lights swinging back and forth. "Virtus posco."

Marcel glanced around, eyes landing back on her. "You must be a Bennett witch."

Bonnie cracked a smile, cocking her head to the side. "I'm glad my reputation precedes me," she said before she rained the room down with glass and wood splinters, all directed to Marcel. He flew back, hitting the wall. Bonnie frowned, wondering why he wasn't shoved with the amount of force she willed.

Before she knew it, the door swung open, a band of witches stepping in with their chants, "Arrête cet intrus."

Bonnie's whimpered, her head suffering from the mental assault. Blood trickled down her nose and she fell to the floor. Marcel rose, straightening his jacket. She couldn't see him but could hear the smile in his voice as he muttered, "You messed with the wrong guy."

Hayley tried to rip away from his grip, a deep frown on her face. "Let me go. I can walk perfectly fine, you idiot."

Kai sighed, letting go as he opened the door. He pushed her in, not bothering to find a witty response. Moments before he could actually get in himself, Kai froze as glass shattered within the building. His head snapped back instantly and he made the quick decision. He tossed Hayley the keys, eyes demanding. "Drive up to the Bayou and hide in the woods. We'll find you later."

"Wh-wait what?" Hayley exclaimed, fumbling with her words. "I don't know where that is. Where are you going? Bonnie said to wait."

"Get the hell out here," Kai yelled, hitting the side of the car before jogging back to the bar and swung the door open. He was shocked to find Bonnie on the floor, in a small pool of her own blood. Rousseau's was in chaos, the room not looking familiar prior to 10 minutes ago. Kai crouched to Bonnie, shaking her awake. "BonBon?"

When her eyes found him, they widened. "Where's Hayley?"

"I told her to find the Bayou--"

"They're after her." Bonnie scrambled to her feet frantically, ignoring the blood residue. "We need to catch up before they do."

"Who?"

Bonnie didn't need to think to answer that question. "Everyone."
