Kai smiled to himself, catching the attention of a couple of his family members. They only assumed it was how he was, Kai always grinned at random moments.

A plan quickly formed in his mind and Kai only anticipated the results. He rose, patting the corner of his lips with the table cloth. "Well, what an amazing meal." He threw the cloth on the table and nodded to Joshua. "I'm glad that you've invited me."

Joshua rose as well. "You're leaving so soon?"

Kai laughed. "I highly doubt you're asking that because you want to spend more time with your son. Regardless, I am presenting my proposition." It was so subtle that nobody even second-guessed what he was doing. In moments, Kai had wandered into the twin's mind, using the bond of their merge to weave with his own. It was a skill only the experienced twins of the merge could use. Hey, Lizzie and Josie, he whispered in their heads.

They both jumped a bit, as Adaline asked, "What could you possibly have that is far greater than the return of the Gemini Coven?"

Don't be scared. It's me, Uncle Kai. Do you guys want to have some fun?

Kai didn't expect an answer, he was waiting for a nod but he was taken aback when Lizzie's voice echoed in his mind. Yes? Can we play a game that will help us find mommy?

Kai was slightly shocked. That type of level magic was intense for children just above their age and they had done it with fluidity. "Well, it's a bit hard to explain. So to keep it brief..." How about we play a game that will help us save mommy?

Josie's timid voice answered, Mommy is in danger?

Listen to everything I say, okay?

Thea asked, "What? Keep going, what are you trying to say?"

Kai had already laid his plan in the minds of the two little weapons at the table. "Instead of getting the girls to restore your magic...how about you all just...I don't know how to put this...die?" They were all too slow, too late to connect the dots. Kai had already raised his hands, the room exploding into glass and wood. It was almost as if he had inverted it within itself, the lights flickering. Kai laughed, sending another bolt of magic. People began to drop dead, others screaming. Most were trying to find the door but he locked them shut.

With his hands up, it almost looked like Kai was the director of a band or a choir. Every thrum of his magic, every flick of his wrist, there was the protest of wood about to fall or glass shattering everywhere. He was protected of course but he couldn't say the same for the others. Well, expect from Lizzie and Josie. Their skin were unmarked, protecting them from all the blood around them. Once again, Kai was impressed. They managed to help themselves, if not each other.

Kai sent one last bolt of magic into the ruined room before he reached for the girls. "Good job. Okay, now look around at the amazing artwork we did? All thanks to you." He appraised, grabbing both of their hands. "Now, let's go find your mother and BonBon." Kai started to whistle, finally unlocking the door. He stepped over the bodies, making sure the girls didn't slip in blood.

Following Kai, Josie started to skip along to Kai's tune. Lizzie...Lizzie was trying to contain her tears.

The hallways were now dark, the lights completely out. Kai wanted to retrieve Bonnie first but the twins were persistent, almost whining when he declared so. They knew where their mother was, apparently. It didn't take long for them to arrive in front of a room. Kai reached for the knob, flinching back at the push. It was spelled. He placed a hand on the door, siphoning the magic off. An idea flashed in his eyes as he glanced back at the girls. "You guys wanna do something cool?" Lizzie shrugged and Josie nodded. "The door can't open because there is magic on it that prevents us from going in."
