Caroline hadn't left straight for Mystic Falls, not after Klaus kicked her out so harshly. She tried to contain her tears as she walked out into the streets, looking up at the sky to keep the tears back. Regardless, she was silently crying into dark streets. She and Klaus had chemistry, she knew they did. After they spent all those months travelling the world, bonding and getting to know each other, she thought that they were unbreakable. Unified to a point where she thought he loved her. But then there was the whole situation with Sybil, Katherine, Elena returning, the Heretics, the Gemini witches, Bonnie getting magically sick and their connection somehow got lost in the wind. And then the pregnancy. Caroline thought that a couple of months staying away would give Klaus time to wrap his head around the child. That morning, she finally pushed herself to come to speak to him, to speak to Bonnie. She convinced herself that she would put aside her envy of Hayley, her ability to even have children. And the fact that Tyler's ex had slept with—who was Klaus to her anyways? Exes? In pending? Friends with benefits?

Caroline balled her fists. She had a right to know. To know if she had to stop barking up the same dead tree. Klaus may be occupied but she would make time for herself in his schedule. He owed her that much.

So she tracked him downtown, in a bar. Rosseau's, it was called. Caroline mustered up the energy to even walk up to him, taking a deep breath outside of the building. She exhaled and walked in, eyes searching the room. But Klaus was nowhere to be seen. She narrowed her eyes walking outback, her vampire hearing picking up rustling. She felt her body freeze when she took in what was before her.

Klaus's lips were locked against a blonde, hair a ray of radiant sunshine. She was propped against a counter, legs wrapped around his hips and arms coiled around his neck. The make-out session was heated and they seemed to be so invested in the action that they didn't realize she was standing there.

His hands were wandering in places she didn't even want to register and then the anger rose in her body. Every stroke of his lips against his seemed to be fuelling the fire. And then fact that Caroline could hear the bartender's heartbeat didn't make the situation any better. She was hungry. Caroline didn't even care to restrain herself when she drove right for the girl like she was meat on a kebab stick.

After Klaus arranged an accord with the vampires and werewolves, he found himself wandering back to the bar. After Caroline's recent appearance, an ache grew within him. And before he knew it, he and Cami were sneaking off into the back.

And once more, it was all but a flash when she was ripped away from right under his grip. For a brief moment, he believed that she had rejected his advances and pushed him back. But the ripping of flesh, the scent of blood, was all but an indication that there was another vampire in the room. Klaus then realized that it was Caroline who was burying her fangs into Cami's throat.

Klaus barred his teeth. "Caroline—"

She didn't stop, not as Cami screamed in pain with her eyes wide. Before Klaus could rip the two beautiful blondes apart, Caroline finally stopped. And not because she wanted to but because something stopped her.

When Caroline sunk to the floor, Father Kierran emerged from behind her, a needle gun in his hands. Cami flopped to the ground along with her as well, leaving Klaus confused.

Father Kierran stepped over Caroline, lowering to Cami's unconsciousness. Klaus noticed that he exhaled with relief as he checked for her wellbeing. Father Kierran rose, turning to Klaus. "You stay away from my niece. You and your whole harem of demons."

Klaus chuckled, adjusting his foot on one leg. "Quite the golden girl, you've got here I suppose." Father Kierran narrowed his eyes, hoisting Cami unto his shoulder. Klaus added, motioning to the other body, "You'll do well to sweep Caroline away to the outskirts of my city. I will ignore your humble insult towards my family just this once, father. I am your king after all and you will do nothing but heed to my demands."

He obeyed quietly, taking Caroline along with Cami as well. And that was it.

"It's already driven Bonnie away how many times? Oh, oh, oh, wait. I know. 13."
