"High five," Freya offered her hand, smiling as bright as the sun. Hope giggled and swung her hand up, bringing it down hard.

But the moment both of them made physical contact, the clap of the high five vibrated throughout the entire room. The earthquake seemed to be only shaking the room alone, books, chairs, tables, and glass shattering. Somehow, the sky dimmed and a florescent blue light enveloped the room.

Hope was screaming now and the rest of the family members were incapable of helping because they were plastered to the wall with a force even stronger than magic itself. Even Bonnie, pregnant and all, or Kai couldn't break free. All they could do was watch as both Freya and Hope's heads were thrown back. From Freya's chest, an orb of blue light surfaced, blinding the room.

"The Hollow," Elijah rasped, realization hitting him. He grunted with the effort of his supernatural force to break from the authoritative magic but it was futile.

"It's been within Freya all along," Rebekah panted through her gritted teeth, all of her limps smothered to the wall.

"She betrayed us," Klaus hollered, his shout shaking the room once more.

Bonnie began to feel the baby kick, a force so powerful that she was gasping in pain. Kai tried to inch for her, to hold her but she wasn't within reach. It felt like the child was playing drums and in mere seconds, it had somehow broken the invisible powerful shield that held them captive.

Bonnie fell to the floor but didn't hesitate as she ran to Hope, grabbing the child. She yanked the toddler back before any more of that essence kept seeping into her soul. And with Bonnie's own magic, partnered with the baby's as well, it repelled away the blue light, all of the essence withdrawing quickly from Hope.

Soon, the room was released from its hold and Freya and Hope fell to the floor, unconscious.

Klaus's wrath was enough to feed monsters from hell once he recollected enough of his anger to properly function. It didn't take long for him to drag Freya to the cellar of the compound, chaining her up. Elijah and Rebekah tried to convince him that his reaction was slightly overboard but with one mention of the dagger, they had nothing left to say. Hayley spent the day trying to help Hope recover.

And Bonnie...she was trying to wrap her head around the fact that her baby used its power beyond the womb to protect a family she didn't even know. Kai suggested that she rest up, especially with the due date so close but Bonnie didn't listen. As usual. She found herself at the compound, opening the door to the stone cellar Klaus had Freya in. She was chained to the ceiling, swinging backing back and forth, unconscious. She looked untouched and Bonnie hoped that he wasn't going to physically torture her.

Klaus was sitting in the dark, his finger tapping his glass patiently. A predator waiting for his prey to play. "Have you come to change my mind? If so, the door is right behind you. Don't make me displace you by force."

Bonnie scoffed and crossed her arms. "I wanted to see what she has to say for herself."

"There is nothing that needs to be said. She is a traitor, an imposter as I once said. I let her pour sweet lies of honey in my ear, believing her promises and whispers of a fulfilling family and she hurt Hope. I have to use her as an example."

"You don't have to do anything. I can get Cami—" she was the only one who could knock him back to his senses.

"I didn't know," a raspy voice said, grabbing both their attention. Freya's eyes were hooded and she continued to swing on the chains, giving no effort to escape.

Klaus growled, turning to her. "I am going to make you pay for what you have done."

"I didn't know," she repeated. "I told you that I learned to subdue the Hollow. I didn't know that it was still inside of me."

"Why is it after my child then?" He demanded.

"I-I don't know, I—"

"I want answers," he seethed. "Not fractured sentences."

Freya took a deep chilly breath. "My guess? The Hollow is attracted to firstborns from our family. I don't think it expected to find one after our mother traded away our mortality. And now here Hope is, a tribrid, a firstborn, and a young vessel. She's a much better offer than a boring, broken witch."

"It is your fault," he concluded.

"Klaus—" Freya was saying. He snapped his fingers and vampires filed in, carrying in one coffin. "What are you doing." A command, not a question.

"I'm shipping you back to whatever hell you crawled out from," he snarled. Freya panted heavily as the vampires began to manhandle her, breaking the chains and pushing her towards the coffin. "Bury her."

"Klaus," Freya hissed. "Klaus. I swear I didn't know. Klaus, I am your eldest sister, you can't treat me like this."

He seemed unbothered and turned on his heel, making his way out the gate. Bonnie remained in place, quickly mapping out a plan before she said, "Se briser." The necks of all the vampires snapped, including Klaus's, and their bodies fell to the floor. Freya flinched, swallowing deeply. Bonnie turned to her with hands on her hip. "He's too clouded by his judgment and fears to see what is really happening." She motioned towards the door. "You said that the Hollow is still inside you? I have a plan to take it out."

Bonnie was on the phone with Hayley. "Meet me at the Bayou. There's been a change of plans. Let Kai know," she ordered and quickly hung up. She swung the car door open, Freya silently slipping in.

"How are you going to take the Hollow out? It's attached and attracted to firstborn Mikaelson's, the only way is by offering another firstborn for it to jump into. Magic doesn't let people break rules like that."

"I have my ways," she gripped the wheel, speeding off into the streets. Klaus could be waking up at any moment, ordering his men to hunt them both down.

The car zoomed quickly and before they knew it, they were driving on the bumpy road of the Bayou, the full moon bright in the sky. The car skidded in the mud and Bonnie immediately swung the door open, Freya running after her.

The wolves were coming out, golden eyes pinned to the two. "It's fine. Hayley told them that we were coming," Bonnie assured.

But Freya had slowed down and when Bonnie turned to her, the paleness on her face was evident even in the dark. Freya held her stomach and began to puke out black goo into the mud. A wolf howled loud into the sky and Freya rose, wiping her mouth. "I don't think the Hollow is happy."

"Come on. We have to keep moving," Bonnie pressured. Freya followed limply and they reached the pier, meeting the water.

Kai was already there, dripping his blood in a vial. "I brought them." He pointed to the duffel bag.

Freya struggled to walk now, to see, to think. Bonnie grabbed the knife from Kai, pricking both of her thumbs, Then she smeared both of Freya's cheeks with her blood and began to chant. "Expulser l'essence immortelle, la contenir à ma volonté."

"You know the charge... that race through your bones... at the prospect of watching someone burn to death? I really missed that feeling."
