Kai assumed that he was in the town hours before Sybil and the others would reach there. He quickly jogged to the Salvatore house, knocking gently. The door opened, Ric standing at the threshold.

"Hello--" In an instant, Caroline had his neck, threatening to snap it. Kai held out a platter. "Hold on, I brought cookies."

"You think baked goods is going to make up for what you did to Bonnie and Damon?" Caroline seethed, Ric now holding a crossbow at Kai's face.

"And after what you did to the twins?" Damon appeared behind Ric, Valerie as well.

"You think I'd show up to your door when you all have reasons to kill me?" Kai scoffed. "I'm not an idiot."

"Stefan's awake, which means Kathrine is too. And with Sybil mind controlling you, she must be around somewhere," Damon said, Stefan emerging beside him.

Stefan did not look too happy. "Where's Bonnie?"

"That's why I'm here. In a couple of hours, Sybil and Kathrine will be arriving in town."

"You have balls coming here," Valerie snarled. "Bring him in."

Caroline shoved him, slamming the door shut behind them. "Talk. The only reason you're not dead right now is because I know you care about Bonnie."

"Sybil's done a lot of damage to her mind, she's not Bonnie," Kai concluded as he sat down on the couch. He reached for one of the cookies he brought in Ric's hand but he pulled them away.

"No shit, Sherlock," Damon stated, speaking with his arms. "Once again, this mess is because of you. And once again, we are trusting you to help us. So tell me Kai, are you fantasizing about betraying us?"

"That would mean betraying Bonnie and I have no intentions of that." Kai adjusted himself. "Where's Matt?"

As spoken of, Matt appeared. "What do you want this time, Kai?"

"By any chance do you have a family heirloom collection?"

"Why?"

"As a child, we were led to believe that all sorts of monsters exist in the world. I was taught of every type of creature, its origin. And turns out, there's a way to kill a siren." The room was silent as Kai said this.

"What's the way?" Ric asked.

"There's a tuning fork. A while ago, I tracked it down to Mystic Falls and I only assume that Matt's family has it because well...you are literally the definition of anti-supernatural-department."

"Then we have to get it, Bonnie is on her way right now, this is our chance!" Caroline exclaimed.

"Whoa, whoa. Who says we have to believe this guy?" Stefan said to the room. "He's known for his backstabbing."

"Not for Bonnie, this is only about her," Kai answered.

"Oh yeah? What happened between you two to cause you to run back here?" Damon said, pouring himself a drink of whiskey. He passed one to Stefan too.

"The more time we waste talking here, the more time Bonnie suffers," Kai reminded.

"I'll find the fork," Matt declared, later leaving the room.

"I'll set the town up for their arrival," Caroline said, Ric pitching in.

"I'll try to get as many people out of town, in case things go bad."

Damon grunted, downing his entire glass in one go. "To Bonnie Bennett."

Matt appeared with the fork, meeting with the group under the town clock. He held out the crusted metal, thick and big. "Is this it?"

Kai held his hand out, grabbing the weapon. "It is." The siren lullaby played in his head. "They're here." The group became agitated, and Kai turned to them for a final say. "Whatever happens, just know that it was for BonBon."

It was silent as they dispersed, letting Kai venture off into the streets, letting his master pull him back to his cage. It was as if Sybil's voice sang a different captivating tune.

Finally, her figure appeared in the center of town, Kathrine at her side and Bonnie closely behind. "There you are, Kai."

He remained silent, taking his position behind them, beside Bonnie. Damon and Stefan emerged, confronting Sybil and Katherine while the witches stayed behind.

"Well if it isn't the all-mighty Katerina Petrova," Damon said in a tone lacking amusement. "A couple of months of beauty rest and we meet again."

Kathrine twirled her hair. "Hello, Damon. It's a pleasure to finally see you again."

"Let's cut to the chase, what do you guys want?" Stefan shoved his hands into his pocket.

Sybil laughed. "Oh, Stefan, you really do make me yawn. Not everything is so serious."

"With all due respect, Sybil, my brother is right. Whatever it is you want, take it because we want Bonnie," Damon said.

Kathrine jumped in, dropping her hands to her side and taking a step closer to Stefan. "We want peace."

The brothers glanced between each other before Stefan spat. "Peace? You want peace after all you've done? After all we've sacrificed to get your face out our heads?"

Kathrine was taken aback, Sybil stepping in for her "It is the least you could do...especially after you tried to find the weapon to kill me?" Kai stepped up, pulling out the tuning fork and Damon growled, his hands clenching into fists. "Isn't it amusing how a fork can stop such a goddess like me? I'd honestly use it to rip into the flesh of my victims on Thanksgiving, you know? Thank you Kai for retrieving it before it was used against me." She turned back to the brothers. "Now I kindly suggest you take Kathrine's proposal of a truce--"

Kai stepped up, angling the tunning fork right at her back. Before he could dive it in, her voice stopped him abruptly, the metal clanging to the floor. Sybil was confused and enraged at the same time, Katherine seconds upon jumping on Kai. Caroline flitted to the doppelgänger, snapping her neck with ease. The fork bounced across the street, ringing, and Sybil reached for it. Valerie flitted to the siren, wrapping iron chains around her neck.

"I heard somewhere that iron burns sirens," Valerie muttered, the metal sizzling against Sybil's skin like bacon, leaving red painful marks along her neck. "Guess I was right."

Sybil screamed and through the commotion, nobody watched Bonnie pick up the fork. Sybil began to chuckle then, everyone turning to Bonnie who rose. Matt, Jeremy and Ric emerged from the shadows, tranquillizer guns aimed at Bonnie. All three stood around her and Caroline turned to her friend.

"Bonnie...give me the fork," Caroline insisted, taking close steps. Kai was now on the ground from the blow Sybil put on his mind and Damon was watching Katherine's body like a hawk in case she tried to escape. Stefan swallowed, trying to anticipate what Bonnie would do.

"She won't give it to you, idiot. She only listens to me." Sybil winced against the chains Valerie tightened around her neck.

"Bonnie, think about--" Stefan began, a pleading in his voice.

It didn't take much for Bonnie to mutter the words, "Motus." The fork went flying so fast, even Sybil didn't register it. She was so confident that she had Bonnie under her grasp, she didn't realize that the fork also nullified the strength of her mind control on Bennett witches. This was also why the tunning fork found its mark, right in Sybil's heart.
