Sooner rather than later, everybody else was gathered when morning came. Bonnie's body was begging for sleep but at least now she knew why she couldn't. There was a void she would jump in, blending into the world of the subconscious and unconscious.
At the sound of Damon's voice, Bonnie snapped out of it. "I'm still a bit confused. All this obsession over a little pregnancy? All I can say is that this superstition is much better than a pregnancy test."
They were all at the Salvatore house, Jeremy currently on the phone with Tyler. So far, all they gathered was that something was up with his girlfriend, Hayley. Stefan nodded. "I have to agree with Damon. I mean we should be glad, if this is all the black magic left, it's not harmful. Now we know that Tyler is going to be a father."
"Something is wrong," Valerie shook her head. "It's not going to be that easy, there's no way it is."
"Then what do you suggest?" Nora inquired. "So far all that has happened was these dreams alerted Bonnie of a werewolf pregnancy. We should aim to try and figure out what it's actually telling her."
"Only Bonnie can figure out what it's actually telling her," Kai inputted, pacing around the room, touching things as he went. He finally turned to her on the couch. "What did you see?"
"I saw Hayley. She was giving birth but not any type of natural birth. There was a lot of blood and it was almost like the baby was killing her," Bonnie said, remembering exactly what happened hours ago.
"Werewolf pregnancies are much more intense than humans. That might be it?" Caroline shrugged, concerned that problems were already back before she could throw a welcoming party for her best friend.
"I saw Rayna Cruz," Bonnie added.
The tension in the room shifted and Elena blinked a couple of times. "Wait, the Loophole Hunter?"
Stefan turned to Damon with a questioning glare. "Wasn't she chasing you for a while? How did you throw her off?"
"I was drunk half the time. At some point, she just stopped," Damon shrugged.
"That's not normal, Rayna doesn't just stop." Valerie narrowed her eyes, giving glares to her sisters. "Something must have happened."
"Bonnie was a psychic, wasn't she?" Elena pondered. "Maybe that's what these dreams are. It's trying to tell us that Rayna is after the werewolf baby."
"That is possible, her magic did root from her psychic abilities. The black magic might have stripped away a fraction of Bonnie's magic and these abilities resurfaced again, filling the gap that was missing," Nora nodded slowly, piecing it together.
"But Rayna chases loopholes, there's nothing that defy's the laws of nature when a werewolf procreates with another werewolf," Mary Lou countered.
"Maybe she quit her job? Maybe she was fired? Because that bitch has anger issues," Damon scoffed, pouring himself a glass of bourbon, handing another one to Elena.
Bonnie shook her head slowly. "Something was very off about that baby. I can't tell what but Rayna is going after it."
Jeremy entered the room at that moment. "Tyler's bringing her, there'll be here by tonight. I told them to watch out for danger."
Stefan agreed to that. "Good. Jeremy, round up the citizens. If Rayna is after Hayley and we're bringing her here, the hunter will be following."
"I'm still confused. What's all the chaos around one werewolf baby?" Caroline groaned but most had already dispersed.
Damon shrugged. "You know Tyler pretty well. He might have pissed off Rayna and now she's going to ruin his unborn child. "
"I guess we'll find out," Kai commented.

Night fell pretty quick and the word was that the couple was finally in town. Tyler knocked on the door and Damon opened it with a tight smile. "Welcome, puppies."
Hayley barged in with a frown, Tyler following after. "I don't appreciate being summoned like a--"
"Dog?" Damon chuckled and Hayley stood there with her arms propped on her hips. She looked pissed off.
Nora appeared in the hall with a warm smile. "You must be Hayley." She held a hand out but the wolf didn't take it, turning to Tyler.
"I told you that these vampires will warm up to us before trying to kill us. It's what they do best." She rolled her eyes and walked into the living room. Kai and Bonnie were talking to each other, their attention diverting to the newcomers.
Tyler followed suit, taking a deep breath. "We won't be here long, babe. Jeremy said it was a quick check-in, they just wanted to see if something was wrong."
Hayley scoffed. "Like they care."
Caroline crossed her arms. "Stop acting like a bitch and listen to what we have to say."
Hayley laughed at that, crossing her arms as well. "Oh, I'm the bitch? Weren't you the one who left Tyler for a half breed? Klaus? How is the bastard these days?"
Caroline snarled and Elena stepped in. "Please, Hayley, we're not trying to look for trouble."
She huffed and sank into the chair. Her eyes lingered on the bourbon bottle but she didn't aim for it. "What do you want to say?"
"You're pregnant," Mary Lou stated and Nora kicked her.
Tyler's eyebrows shot to his hairline. "I'm sorry, what? I would know if my girlfriend was pregnant."
Hayley completely ignored him and swallowed. "You didn't need to bring us here to tell me that. I know."
He snapped his head to said girlfriend in utter shock. "Babe, what?"
Nora's intentions to be polite were thrown across the room. "So you must know that the baby is Tyler's, right?"
Hayley tilted her head to challenge the Heretic. "What are you insinuating? Of course the baby is Tyler's."
"Then you won't mind a little witch paternity test, will you?"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa. I just got told I was a father in the worst way possible, let me breathe first," Tyler injected, sitting next to Hayley. His hand reached for her belly, trying to sense the kid.
"It's Tyler's, he's the only one I've been with," Hayley concluded.
"Then I'll get you prepped for the spell," Nora didn't say much after that, all the Heretics leaving as well.
Bonnie didn't know what her friend was up to so she pushed herself up to try and follow them. Kai held a hand out to try and stop her. "You should rest."
"I can't go to sleep, not now. So it's best I spend the time trying to work this out," she answered and he let her follow the other witches out the room. They met in the kitchen. "What's happening, why do we need a paternity test?"
"I fear for the worst," Valerie answered, taking deep breaths.
"Nothing is confirmed yet, Val," Mary Lou answered.
Bonnie looked to Nora for answers but even she was hesitant. "If our suspicions are correct..."
Bonnie didn't even need to hear the rest. Something was not right with the unborn child. And it seemed that it would only be the beginning of their problems.
