Stefan woke with a sudden jerk and rose in a soft large bed. His gasp was loud, almost like a cry for help. "Bonnie."

Jeremy jumped, confused when he shut his book. "Stefan? You're not supposed to be--"

Stefan flitted from his bed, his face soaked in worry and fear. "We need to find Bonnie, she's-she's at the Mystic Grill, in the boiler room."

"Bonnie's on the run with Sybil and Kai," Jeremy declared, holding a hand out to Stefan so he could calm down.

Stefan cocked his head to the side, confused. "What?"

Jeremy quickly explained, sending a text out to Damon. "She woke you to get Katherine to Sybil."

Stefan wrapped his head around it, taking a breath in. "It was all a trick. Which means she isn't dead."

"Right now, we need to find them. Apparently, she's got the twins as well."

"That's chaotic. 3 related siphon witches, a Bennett witch, a siren and Kathrine Pierce?" Stefan could feel the onslaught of troubles in his veins. Stefan glanced around the unfamiliar room. "Where's Damon?"

"I was told to keep an eye on you, that was all."

Stefan nodded to Jeremy. A revelation unfolded in his mind. "I think I know where they are."

Kai opened his eyes right at the same time Bonnie fell over. He caught her, making sure to not damage the tokens she had given her before they jumped in.

Sybil was alert. "Is it done?" The twins were fast asleep, Josie laying on Lizzie's lap.

"Oh, it's done," Kai said, laying Bonnie gently against the floor. He patted her soft hair, later then connecting the pieces of the broken watch. Kai waited, watching for her features for when she woke up. "Bonnie," Kai called. Bonnie was still, her eyes shut and her body almost lifeless. Kai furrowed his brows. "BonBon, wake up."

She didn't. Kai cursed deeply, reaching for the piece she had given him. He cut his palm, later cutting hers and entwining their blood on the artifact.

"Fugit mortem."

Kai then jumped into her subconsciousness, hoping that she still had one. The room opened to a mini-cabin, the warm smell of pasta and quality wine. Kai was on the floor, his blood leaking. He covered it up and pushed himself to a standing posture.

He stood in the middle of a room, a couch right next to him and a kitchen counter in front of him. At that moment, giggles and footsteps appeared, bringing in Bonnie. Kai reached for her. "Bonnie." But she wasn't alone. Enzo came out of the room Bonnie dashed from, his fingers tickling her.

"Enzo, stop," she exclaimed, running off to the kitchen. Bonnie playfully grabbed a cucumber and held it out with defence.

He smiled at her, still approaching. Bonnie didn't even use the vegetable, she let him touch her once more, Enzo pulling her into a lover's embrace. He kissed her shoulder and Bonnie sighed. Kai looked away, his fist clenched. The need to shatter a skull coursed through his veins.

"It sucks, doesn't it?" Kai turned to Damon, who was watching the two lovers.

Kai took a step back. "You're not here."

"Of course I'm not. "

"Then why are you here?" Kai demanded.

"To remind you that this is what Bonnie will always have. The image of Enzo, her ideal life partner. It will never even come in comparison to what you promise to give her. You will always live in the shadow of a dead man." Damon laughed. "Pathetic."

Kai curled his fingers and Damon started to choke vividly. "I suppose it does suck. Watching someone you care about love someone else. Elena did give you the chase, didn't she?"

"Except you don't just care for BonBon, do you?" Damon rasped, a vein popping at his skull.

Kai snarled, "That has nothing to do with you."

"It has everything to do with me. You are me. You're the bad guy, just like I was the bad guy in Elena's story. And then I wasn't."

Kai snorted, "You want me to be good? I would rather kill myself than ever do that."

"You're not listening, Kai," Damon smiled as he let loose on the grip around his neck. "Turn yourself into a good guy in her mind."

Kai was in thought, Damon's shadow melting away and Bonnie's mumbles tuned back in.

"You play the guitar?" She was saying to Enzo who pulled out the instrument and sat on the couch. "You need to teach me someday."

Kai took a step closer as he began to play. Every cell in his body screamed and he couldn't help the burst of anger escaping him. The cord to the guitar broke, snapping with an agonizing cry. The glass shattered and Kai became visible in the room and Enzo was now gone. "Time to go back, BonBon."

"No," she declared. "I will die thousand times over rather than spend the rest of my days along you and Sybil, destroying my friends."

"I'm afraid you don't have a choice," Kai mumbled, grabbing her arm. Bonnie wailed, slowly lowering to the ground. "Sybil's power is dominant to yours."

Tears welled up in Bonnie's eyes as Kai mentally dragged her back to their bodies. When they woke, the artifact was broken and Bonnie shook awake, back to the state of Sybil's mind control. "What happened?"

Kai rose. "A slight hiccup to the spell. Let's go, Sybil is on her way to Katherine."

"And the kids?"

"I put a barrier spell around the circle," Kai pointed out. "Stefan knows that we were here so they'll find the twins."

"Okay," Bonnie nodded, taking the lead out. "Let's get moving."

The warehouse was wide and grey, cold and empty. Every step echoed and it was almost eerie. The windows were tinted with dirt, making it hard for light to get in. There was a body of water but that was about it.

"Where is she?" Sybil demanded angrily.

"Locator spell says she's right here," Kai answered, glancing around.

Bonnie was silent as they stopped in the room. "Does it look like she's here?" Sybil snapped.

The two argued and Bonnie approached the large water. Out of instinct, she glanced down and wasn't as shocked as she should've been. A black vault sat at the bottom of the lake. "I think I found her."

Sybil approached, looking down as well. She sighed, diving into the water with a splash. Bonnie watched her go, unlocking the vault. Kai approached. "You think she'll ever let us go?"

"You don't truly want that," Bonnie said, Sybil swimming back up with a body. "Because if Sybil let me go, I would go back to hating you."

Kai remained silent, the wickedest rising from the water. Kathrine chuckled, her small face stretching into a smile. "I'm back, bitches."
