Klaus barged into the cathedral, Elijah and Rebekah flanking behind him. Power radiated off the family like a ray of sunshine on a dark day, the type of power that made you tremble in fear and terror. The type of power that would conjure up electricity from the dark clouds and strike you for opposing to their reign.

But then there was Bonnie and Davina, back straightened, eyes gleaming with strength too. She flicked her wrist and the door slammed behind them smoothly.

In the room stood a vampire, Diego, one black wolf, Jackson and a human, Father Kierran.

"Good evening ladies and gentlemen and well," Klaus chuckled, giving a pointed glare to the wolf. "Pets."

"You have some nerve trying to reconstruct peace after what you did to Marcel. Before you start setting down your accords for the vampire side of the faction, you will release him," Diego bluntly ordered.

Rebekah snorted, bristling. "Right. Marcel, the vampire who is linked to our very fragile pregnant wolf."

"You and I both know that even if it weren't for that girl, you'd still have him in shackles. This is why I don't believe in this alliance or whatever you're calling it. Because whatever we say, you guys will just do whatever the hell you want," Diego snarled, seething through his teeth.

"And that very fragile pregnant wolf has every right to attend this meeting as much as any of you." The doors opened once more and Hayley appeared.

Elijah turned immediately, earning her a warning glare. "Hayley."

"I'll say it again. I have every right to be here, the werewolves are my people. And as you can see, Jackson can't exactly speak for himself right now so I will step in," Hayley declared, brushing past Bonnie to stand beside the wolf.

"Well, now that all the members are gathered, let us cut the chit chat and jump right to the strategizing," Klaus held his hands out in front of him patiently.

"No. First, clean up the mess you left in the Quarter," Diego crossed his arms.

"Mess? What mess?" Elijah narrowed his eyes, cocking his head in question.

"For starters, fix what your buddy did," he pointed to Bonnie. "There are rogue vampires attacking and feeding on vampires for revenge, causing our numbers to drop. And the fact that the witches are picking at our vulnerability shortens that number even more. Now, I don't know about you but how are you going to gather forces when you're cutting our people?"

"I'll admit that Kai was a bit..." A glance at Bonnie. "Brash on the spell. But now you understand the consequences you will suffer if you cross our witch."

Father Kierran stepped into that. "And I am concerned with any humans that will suffer and end up in the crossfire of this conflict. I accepted your offer to host this meeting in the House of God because I believed that you were actually driven to form an alliance of peace between our kinds. All I'm hearing are threats."

"All you're hearing are enforcements of our regulations," Rebekah snapped. "We do not wish to rule the city in the way Marcel did. I mean look at how things are now, we literally have a witch rebellion. And don't think I haven't heard, you vampires are to blame for the curse the Crescents are under at the Bayou." Jackson growled at that.

"Nonetheless, we assure you that Kai will settle the issues of cannibalism within the vampires. With all due respect, we've come to discuss the witches," Elijah stated.

"What about the wolves?" Hayley was saying. "We could get Bonnie and Kai or Davina to break the curse. With the Crescents able to alternate between their forms, we'd have a higher advantage."
