After Forever & Ever

Chapter 96

Tessa-Present

After my text exchange with Hardin earlier in the day I realized I didn't want to wait until tomorrow and Vance had already agreed to come along to help with Emery so Hardin and I could get some time to talk.

So I was able to get an evening flight and since I was going there Vance ended up telling me the truth about the program Hardin is in and gave me the key to his apartment for when I got there because he said Hardin was playing a show tonight.

I guess he didn't waste anytime to start enjoying his life in LA...

When I arrived in his apartment I felt like I was in the wrong apartment it was super neat and all his clothes nice and folded. He had a couple guitars laying out and a keyboard....

I feel like I shouldn't snoop so just as I am about to have a seat I hear the door open. I don't know why I can't control my emotions around him anymore but I start crying the second I see him and I am shocked when he comes up and hugs me and even more shocked when he kisses me....but he immediately pulls away.

"How did you know where I was and how did you get in?" He asks me.

"Vance told me about everything." I simply respond...I still am not sure if I am going to let him know I have known all this time.

"Oh okay...uh here have a seat, do you want anything water? Or." I stop him.

"I'm fine." I reply and have a seat on the couch and he sits on the couch but farther way then what would be normal for us.

"How was your flight?" He asks.

"It was good." I reply.

It's a little bit of awkward silence between us.

"So i can't really have you stay here....because it would be against the rules of the program." He tells me which I know was hard for him to get out.

"Oh yea... no I know umm Vance told me. I am going to go back to the hotel tonight." I tell him.

"Okay...I'm sorry. I would want you to trust me." He replies.

"It's okay...so how was your show?" I ask.

"Pretty good almost gave my number out no big deal." He says with a smirk.

I however don't find it as funny. "Ohhhh how did that go." I reply.

"Well he was a dude sooo that was the only hang up." He says laughing and nudging me.

"You're such a jerk." I say nudging him back.

"You're pretty cute when you are jealous." He says.

"What's there nothing to be jealous of we aren't together...remember?" I say to him.

"Ouch. Yea you're right....I feel a little cheated though." He responds.

"Why?" I ask.

"We never had break up sex." He says smirking again.

"Really Hardin?!!" I say sort of annoyed.

"What!!! I'm messing with you." He replies.
