Note- This takes place in real life. Tommy is still in high school, Tubbo is the same age as him
Tommy POV (3rd)
Tommy had never been very good at school. Sure, he could get by when it came to the work. It was the tests that killed him. So when he received an 87% on his math test, he was ecstatic. Finally he would have something to show Phil.
He walked home with a skip in his step. This was the first good grade he had gotten all year and he had studied hard for it the night before.
He reached his house, opening the door swiftly and stepping inside. Laughter echoed off the walls, indicating that everyone was in the kitchen. Tommy raced to join them, almost unable to contain his excitement. That's when he noticed Tubbo was there.
Didn't Tubbo have to go home early? Isn't that why he couldn't walk with him? He shrugged it off, attempting to focus on what he planned to tell them.
"Hey Phil-" he began before immediately getting cut off.
"Hang on Tommy, Tubbo wanted to show us something." Phil spoke gently, urging the brunette to continue.
"I got 100% on my math test! And I was invited to join the advanced class!" Tubbo exclaimed, grinning from ear to ear.
Tommy frowned, biting his tongue. Why did that number make his own achievement feel so small?
"Nice job Tubbo!" Wilbur smiled, ruffling his hair. Like he usually did to Tommy.
"Congrats, kid." Techno glanced at the younger, pride shining in his eyes.
"I'm so proud of you Tubbs!" Phil hugged him.
Tommy paused, did he really want to show them his score? It was no where near as good as Tubbo's. And he didn't get invited into a more advanced class, probably because he struggled with it so much in general.
"-ommy?"
He looked up to see Phil staring at him. "Aren't you going to congratulate Tubbo?"
"Good job, Tubbo." Tommy said, pulling a fake smile. He was happy for Tubbo, truly he was. But he couldn't help but feel bad about his own score.
"Now Tommy, what did you want to tell us?" Phil looked at him, still smiling at Tubbo.
"Uh never mind, its nothing." he backed down, discouraged.
"What did you get on your test?" Tubbo asked, his eyes sparkling.
"I-"
"He probably didn't even take it!" Wilbur chuckled. "Tommy never takes tests seriously."
Tommy felt himself shrink at his words. Did Wilbur really think of Tommy like that? He laughed it off, trying to make it seem like the words didn't affect him. "Yes I do!"
"Don't lie Tommy." Techno warned, taking Wil's side.
Tommy struggled to keep a smile, the words slicing through him. "I-I have homework to do." He slid past his brothers, wanting to disappear.
"Wait is Tommy actually starting to take school seriously?"
Tommy made it to his room, leaning against the door. He couldn't hold it in anymore. Tears began to form in his eyes, creating a river down his face.
Was he really that big of a disappointment?

I think I'll do another part to this. We shall see.
Hope you have a wonderful day!
