You're Always Welcome Here (Tommy Angst) (3/3)

Tommy POV

A few days passed and Tommy couldn't be happier. He couldn't remember the last time he had felt this happy. It made him wonder if life would have been better if he had remained in Business Bay.

And being platonically married to Deo made his life even better. The idea that someone would stick by his side no matter what was something he had always dreamed about. To have it actually happen made him ecstatic. 

"Toms? You ready?" Deo asked, smiling at the blonde. They were going fishing for the day, just hanging out like they used to.

"Yup!" Tommy chirped, a bright grin forming on his face.

Deo wrapped an arm around Tommy, pulling him close. They stood still for a moment before heading towards the docks, his arm still secure around the boy.

"Tommy!" a voice exclaimed.

Tommy barely had time to look up before he was practically tackled into a hug by Luke and Blitzal.

"Hey guys!" he laughed, struggling to stay standing.

"It's so good to have you back." Luke sighed, still hugging him.

"You keep saying that." Tommy giggled, loving the feeling of being wanted.

"And it still remains true." Blitzal smirked, ruffling his hair.

"Come on guys!" Deo called, urging them towards their destination.

The three guys laughed, racing towards the boy. It was nice. Tommy had missed this so much and he hadn't even realized it.

Their day was filled with laughing and fishing, and it was the most whole they had felt in a while. It had never been the same once Tommy left. Now they were finally group again. 

But that was short-lived as a group of people came from the distance. Tommy's breath was caught in his throat at the sight of them. He didn't want to see them anymore. Immediately the Business Boys moved closer to Tommy, hoping to give him comfort.

Deo was by far the most protective, wrapping his arms around Tommy and whispering comforting words in his ear. Blitzal and Luke glared at the newcomers, ready to kill.

"Tommy?" Tubbo called, wanting to run towards him. One look from the other boys made him freeze. "Toms?"

"Don't call me that." Tommy whispered, moving closer to Deo.

"What are you doing here Tommy?" Ranboo questioned, standing beside Tubbo.

"This is my home."

"Home?" Sam echoed, unsure if he heard right.

Puffy was the only one who smiled. "I'm glad you're home Tommy, we just got worried about you."

"Why?"

"Because you just vanished!" Tubbo exclaimed with tear filled eyes.  

"You didn't care before." Tommy mumbled, hiding his face in Deo's shirt.

"What?" Tubbo couldn't believe his ears. "Of course I did! What made you think otherwise?"

Niki and Jack rolled their eyes, Niki speaking up. "Let's go. If he's out of our lives then good riddance."

"He's safer here than he was in the SMP." Luke snarled.

"Just leave!" Blitzal shouted.

"Come on guys." Puffy said, beginning to walk away.

"But Tommy-"

"You neglected him!" Deo shouted. "You don't deserve to even know him, let alone be his friend!" Tommy flinched at his yelling, making Deo immediately pull him closer if that was even possible. He gently kissed Tommy's forehead, apologizing softly.

"I... I didn't mean to..." Tubbo cried, his tears pouring.

"But you did!" Deo glared, yelling a bit quieter. "And that's enough. I- we- will never let you hurt Tommy again."

And that was a promise he intended to keep.
