Tommy POV

Panic spread through my veins as I froze. What is it even human? I wasn't sure.

Above them stood a tall figure crouched on a branch. I couldn't see it's face due to the long shadow that cast onto it. The breathing grew louder as it stared at us.

"Run..." I whispered to my two friends, hoping I had actually spoken it aloud. When my friends didn't move, I shouted, "RUN!"

Instantly the figure moved, jumping to reach the ground. I felt the adrenaline kick in as I turned and ran, praying my friends would do the same.  I carefully stole a glance, relieved to see my friends running in the other direction.

I was about to turn to follow them to keep us from getting separated, but then I froze. The figure was staring at me. Gulping, I swallowed my fear, urging my legs to move once more.

Sticks snapped behind me, only meaning one thing. The figure was after me. At least my friends would be safe.

I tightened my grip on his phone, having completely forgotten I was streaming. Glancing down at it, I tried to smile, to reassure my viewers that I would be okay. Panting, I shook my head, wishing to be anywhere else in that moment.

A call came through his phone. Quickly I answered, glancing at the battery life.

"Tommy?!" voices came through the phone, almost as panicked as I felt.

"H-Hi-" I panted, my lungs struggling to supply enough oxygen.

"Tommy you need to get out of there!" Wilbur shouted above everyone else.

I nodded, rolling my eyes. "I know-w." I stopped, trying to catch my breath. The figure was still coming towards me in the corner of his eyes. "I-I'm trying." I muttered before running again.

Voices suddenly came through the forest, calling my name. "Tommy! Tommy where are you?!"

Eryn and Freddie.

The figure suddenly stopped, glancing towards the sound.

My heart dropped. Without a moment of hesitation I shouted, "I thought you were after me!" Picking up the nearest object, which was a rock, I threw it towards the thing.

The figure whipped towards me as if the rock had fueled its rage. Maybe that wasn't such a good idea. I turned and started running again. How I had any energy left was a mystery. I sprinted further and further into the forest, hoping I might lose it.

After awhile the sound of footsteps seemed to fade away. Once I was completely sure it was far behind me, I allowed myself to stop. My heart was pumping so fast, faster than it ever had before. The adrenalin finally began to wear off.

I dropped to my knees, moving my back to lean against a tree. I was alive somehow. Glancing down at my phone, I groaned. No battery left. I could only imagine the panic my friends were dealing with.

Running a hand through my hair, I closed my eyes, focusing on catching my breath. It took longer than it should have, but eventually I calmed down.

Looking around, I sighed. What now? I had no idea where I was and that thing was still out there.

Shaking my head, I muttered, "This was not how I thought this challenge would go."
