Tubbo POV

Tubbo drove as quickly as he could, his brain still trying to piece together how it had happened. How could he neglect his best friend without even realizing it? It had probably started when he met Theo. Suddenly there wasn't just one person he connected with. He had begun to hangout more and more with Theo until Tommy wasn't needed.

His heart caught in his throat. How could he just forget his best friend like that? How could he be such a horrible friend? What made it even worse was Tommy probably assumed it was his fault if his texts were anything to go by. Tommy was always selfless and sensitive. That's what Tubbo liked about him the most.

Parking in front of the apartment complex, he jumped out of his car and rushed into the building. On the way up the elevator he attempted to prepare himself. The problem was he didn't know what to expect.

Stepping onto the correct floor, he raced to the blonde's room, having the number memorized from the countless visits. He didn't even care how much noise he was making. all he cared about was Tommy. Stopping at the front door, he took a key from his pocket and pushed it into the lock. With a low groan the door swung open and he immediately froze.

Nothing could have prepared him for what he saw.

Broken glass littered the floor, some pieces so small that they were easy to miss. An unwelcome stench of alcohol lingered in the air, making Tubbo make a step back. Looking around, he found that there was no furniture, apart from an old mattress in the corner. Bottles filled with alcohol were scattered around the apartment, only adding to the discomfort.

How was Tommy living here? How could anyone live in a place like this?

His eyes quickly landed on Tommy who was sitting up against a wall, his phone in one hand and a bottle in the other.

"Tommy?" he whispered, watching the blonde panic as they locked eyes. "What happened to you?" He already knew the answer of course, but somehow that was enough. He needed to hear it from Tommy.

Tommy rolled his eyes, leaning his head against the wall. "I got replaced!" he hiccupped, laughing at himself. "Had to happen -hiccup- sometime! Just didn't think it would come so soon!"

Tubbo swallowed, the guilt almost too much to handle. Somehow it was even worse than he thought. "Tommy I-I am so sorry." he began, trying to find someway to make it all better. But how could he do that when he caused it?

"It's alright big T!" Tommy smirked, taking another sip. "You were right to leave a -hiccup- loser like me!"

Tubbo approached the blonde cautiously, trying to find the right words to say. He wanted to help Tommy. And the first way to do that was to get him away from that beer. But that was certainly harder said than done. "Tommy... I think you've had enough-"

"Oh piss off!" Tommy exclaimed, suddenly glaring at Tubbo. "First you take my friends and now you take my beer?! I've got nothing left!" Tommy stared at the brunette, a icy glare filling his eyes. But it only lasted a moment before Tommy began laughing again.

How drunk was he? Taking a deep breath, Tubbo decided the best thing to do was to take him to his house. Tommy couldn't live here anymore. He should never had been living here in the first place. He didn't care if that meant the blonde would move in with him, he would do it. All he cared about was helping his best friend and making up for all the horrible things he had done.

"You want to go on a road trip Toms?" he questioned, hoping to distract Tommy from taking another sip.

Much to his relief, Tommy immediately looked at him with excitement. "Where are we going? To Phil's house?!"

Tubbo felt his heart hurt. Had the others done the same to him? Shaking his head, he put on a smile. "No, to mine! We uh... we can have a sleepover!"

Tommy thought for a moment, seemingly contemplating something. "Motherinnit might not let me..." he began.

Tubbo laughed, "I already talked to her Tommy. She said you can stay over at my house tonight."

Tommy grinned at the idea, lazily getting to his feet. He stumbled, leaning over to grab a few bottles to take with him. "Let's go! Night with the boys!" he shouted.

Tubbo grabbed his arm, helping to steady the teen. "No need to bring any beer Toms, I-uh, I have plenty."

"Are you-"

"I'm positive Toms." Tubbo cut him off, pulling off his own coat to wrap around Tommy. It was pretty cold out there and the last thing he needed was a sick Tommy.

The two stumbled out of the apartment, heading down the hall to the elevator. Tommy hummed the able sisters theme out loud, giggling to himself. Tubbo couldn't wait to have his normal Tommy back. This Tommy had no control and it scared him.

Helping him into the passenger seat, he helped Tommy put his seatbelt on before getting in on the driver's side. They pulled out of the parking lot, with Tubbo constantly trying to keep an eye on Tommy.

Thankfully, he fell asleep about half way through the drive, giving Tubbo some much needed peace.

Tubbo made a promise to himself and Tommy.

He would fix this.
