Tommy POV
"Get lost!"
"You're not my son!"
"I hate you!"
I shut my eyes, trying so hard to stop the tears from trickling down my face. Why did they hate me? What did I do wrong?
I leaned back into the wall, holding my legs close to me.
Here I was, crying on the street, having just been kicked out by my own parents. They had never been good parents, but they were still my parents. And now it felt I didn't belong anywhere, that I could never have a family again.
I'm scared.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I had lived on the street for six years now. I stole to survive, holding onto any warmth my thin clothes provided. I was barely living, but I hardly cared. At this point everything was meaningless. If my parents didn't want me, then who would? Who would want an obnoxious teenager?
I glanced towards the corner store. I hated stealing, but I had no choice. I began walking towards it, staring at my feet. I took note of a group of three people who had just stepped inside.
I felt one of them stare at me for a moment, before he whispered something to the man next to him.
I shook the feeling off, entering the store. I had purposely left my shoe untied, causing me to trip. The man with curly brown hair caught me, stopping me from falling. I swiftly grabbed his wallet, slipping it into my pocket.
"You alright Kid?" he asked.
"Yeah, sorry." I felt my face pick up heat. Play it off, I begged myself.
"I'd tie that shoe if I were you." the man with pink hair warned. For some reason it felt like he knew, like he could see right through me.
"Thanks." I mumbled, getting up.
"Where's your parents Mate?" the older blonde questioned, studying me curiously.
I shook my head, staying quiet. That's when I made a run for it. More of a speed walk. Just an escape from their stares.
It only took a moment for the brunette to realize what I had done. "Hey! You stole my wallet!" he yelled after me.
I sprinted, running as fast as I could. If I could just get back to my hideout, maybe I would be okay.
Out of the corner of my eye, I knew they were chasing me. Three against one was not a very good situation. I groaned, cursing under my breath. The pink haired one was gaining on me.
If I was paying attention maybe I would have noticed that I was cornering myself. I saw the dead end at the end of the street, causing me to slow down a little. I surveyed my surroundings, knowing that maybe this was time to give up.
Usually the punishments weren't as bad if I admitted the crime.
When I reached the end of the road, I stopped. I rounded on my heel to face them.
"Give me my wallet." the brown haired man demanded.
"Fine." I mumbled, tossing it him. Great, no meal tonight. I sighed deeply, just praying for a light punishment. "Just get it over with."
"What?" the blonde didn't understand.
"Punish me, like they all do." I rolled my eyes, preparing to add to my collection of scars.
"We're not going to punish you."
I opened my eyes in surprise. They weren't going to hurt me?
"What's your name? How long have you been on your own?" the blonde asked gently.
"Why do you care?"
"Maybe we can help." the pink haired one suggested.
"I don't want your pity." I glared, "I can take care of myself."
"How long?" the blonde continued.
"Six years." I shrugged. Why was I telling him this? He would probably just turn me into the police.
The three exchanged looks, of... concern? Why would they actually care?
"You're coming with us." the blonde said, gaining a groan from the curly haired man.
"I'm not going anywhere with you. I don't even know who you people are."
"I'm Phil, this is Techno and that's Wilbur." the blonde introduced them all. "They're my sons."
"So you steal to survive?" Wilbur was scared to ask.
"It's the only way to survive." I replied.
"How did you end up on the streets?" Techno studied him.
"My parents kicked me out." Why was I responding? Why did I kind of trust them? I couldn't trust anyone!
Phil smiled sadly, "I have an extra room in my house, and these two have been looking for a brother..."
"What are you saying?" I didn't understand.
"He's offering you a life." Techno stepped in. "And I suggest you take it."
"Why? I can take care of myself!"
"Really? When was the last time you ate?" Techno crossed his arms.
"A week... but I was going to eat today!" I protested.
"You're coming with us." Wilbur held out his hand.
I hesitated before allowing myself to take it. I didn't want to worry anymore. I just wanted to be safe.
I didn't realize I was crying until I felt arms wrap around me. I looked up to see Wilbur. "We'll keep you safe. I'll take care of you." he said softly.
"Tommy." I whispered.
"What?" he hadn't heard me.
"My name is Tommy."

This was terrible, but hey there you go.
Stay safe!
