Tommy POV

Tommy tightened his grip on his bag as he continued to walk. He sighed, wanting to cry and scream at the same time. It was an overwhelming feeling that he hated. The feeling of uncontrol.

He crossed the street swiftly, trying his best not to attract attention. He pulled his hood up and stared at his feet.

Suddenly he felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. He pulled it out and his eyes widened.

Phil- 65 missed calls

Wilbur- 48 missed calls

Techno- 40 missed calls

It took them as long as he thought it would to notice he was missing. He was supposed to be home four hours ago. Most families took at least six hours and most wouldn't even spare him a call.

He shook his head, declining the call and putting his phone on silent.

He loved them more than anything. They were the first family that he had ever felt accepted in. They were nothing but caring which is all he had ever wanted. To feel loved.

He came to the train station, purchasing a ticket. He walked towards a bench. He had ten minutes to wait. He leaned back, allowing his head to rest on the wall behind him.

Did he really want to do this? Just leave them behind? He didn't want to, but it was better than being kicked out he decided. It was better for him to just leave then have to feel their sympathetic looks. They would say how sorry they are and that he just wasn't a good fit. He couldn't deal with that. Not with this family.

The bench shifted as someone sat beside him. The stranger looked at him, surprise written all over his face. "What are you doing here kid?"

"Waiting for the train." he shrugged.

"Aren't you a little young to be traveling by yourself?" he questioned.

"None of your business." Tommy hissed, hugging his bag tighter.

The man sighed, "Don't do it."

Tommy glanced at him, "What?" Why did the stranger care what he did?

"I've been where you are. Running away makes everything worse." the stranger closed his eyes, as though he were reliving a memory. "Once you have your family, keep it."

Tommy shook his head, "They'll just kick me out like they all do. At least this way it feels like a choice."

"Are they bad?"

"No, they're the best family I've ever had." he sighed. Why was he talking to a stranger?

"Then why would they kick you out? If they love you... why would they want to let you go?" the man asked.

"I'm nothing but a screw up. No one wants a screw up. Especially one like me." Tommy blinked away the forming tears. Be a man, he ordered himself.

The train screeched to a halt in front of them, causing Tommy to get up. Right before he was about to board he felt a hand grab his arm. He looked down to see the stranger.

"What are you doing?" Tommy demanded, trying to escape his grip.

"I'm stopping you from making the same mistake I did." the man dragged him back onto the platform. He took him back to the street, stopping just outside the entrance.

"Go home."

Tommy was about to argue when he stopped. Home. He had a home... he had a family... How could he forget that?

He met the man's eyes, "Thank you." he whispered, before turning and running in the direction of his house.

He didn't stop until he reached the house, opening the door. Immediately footsteps came rushing towards him.

"TOMMY!" Phil, Techno, and Wilbur came into view.

Tommy tried to brace himself for hugs, but he was knocked over anyway. But he didn't mind.

All that mattered was that he had a family.
