Tommy POV

"I don't know Wilbur..." Tommy sighed, biting his lip. "I'm not that good-"

"Not that good?!" Wilbur exclaimed. "Have you heard yourself? You're incredible! I mean, I've heard you sing, but never like that!"

"It was just for my little sister, that's all. I've never really sang for anyone else." He admitted, sideways glancing at his guitar.

"Well that can change."

Tommy shook his head, picking at his nails. He wasn't sure if he was ready to sing for more people. Sure, that video was on the internet now, but that hadn't been for the internet. It was for Rowan. So if people hated it, he didn't care. He didn't do it for them.

What Wilbur was offering terrified him. What would people think of him? Was he really as good as people said he was.

"I-I'm not ready Wil... I'm sorry."

Tommy was ready for Wilbur to hang up on him, to just never talk to him again. To yell and say how disappointed he was. But he didn't. Instead Wilbur simply said, "Don't be. I can wait until you're ready, however long that is."

Tommy glanced at the monitor, his eyes wide with surprise. How could Wilbur not be mad? "You... you aren't angry?"

"Of course not!" the older exclaimed. "Why would I be mad Toms?"

"I don't know... I just thought... I figured I disappointed you." the blonde confessed, his head hanging low.

"Tommy, you could never disappoint me."

That night Tommy thought of the offer again. Singing with Wilbur... it sounded too good to be true. Not only would he be working with Wilbur, which was a dream in itself, but it meant he could sing. He could express himself creatively.

He laid on his bed, staring up at the ceiling. He didn't even hear his door open. Suddenly someone jumped on him, making him cry out in surprise.

A girl giggled, wrapping her small arms around his torso. "Guess what?! I didn't have a nightmare!" she proclaimed proudly.

Tommy chuckled, hugging her close to his chest. "I'm glad to hear that Ro."

Rowan pulled back from his embrace, sensing that something was off. "What's wrong Tommy?"

The blonde shook his head, "Nothing."

"Tell meeee." she whined, looking at him with puppy eyes. She was always one to help make people feel better.

He groaned in defeat, mostly because some part of him actually thought she might help. "A good friend of mine wants me to sing with him."

"That's great! My big brother is going to be even more famous!!" she shouted, grinning from ear to ear. "Why are you not happy?" she questioned, not understanding his mood. Wasn't this a joyful occasion?

Tommy sighed, "It's not that simple."

"Simple?" she repeated.

"I've never sung for anyone except for you." he explained. "Singing for other people... that's scary." He closed his eyes, hoping to ease his worries a little more.

"But you stream." she pointed out. "And that's for a lot of people. How is this different?"

He opened his eyes, staring into her's. "It just is."

"You make no sense!" Rowan giggled. She nuzzled more into his chest, relaxing further. "You love to sing, so why not do it?"

Tommy bit his lip, "I'm scared."

Rowan grinned. "Don't worry, you've got me! I can help chase away all your bad dreams!"

Tommy rolled his eyes, smiling nevertheless. Oh how he loved his little sister.

After a few more days of Rowan pestering him to do it, he finally agreed. Wilbur was ecstatic and they began making music together almost immediately.

People loved their music and their dynamic. Some people didn't, but Rowan always there to hug him when he felt down about it. As she would say, "She was always there to chase away his bad dreams." And that never changed, even as they grew older.

And neither did the love he felt for his little sister.
